The holiday home “The Door” of Mignana is situated in the country of the city of Vinci, famous all over the world as it was the birthplace of the genius Leonardo.

The facility, totally plunged in the Tuscan country, consists of five residences in old stones, with fittings in precious chestnut wood and with a floor made in terracotta tiles.

The Porta di Mignana ancient gateway to the Barco Reale Mediceo: with the relevant estate, it is set in a scenic area. The Barco Reale Mediceo was a game reserve of hunting and farming-forestry products of the Medici family, grand dukes of Tuscany until 1738, entirely surrounded by a stone wall, a few remains are still visible inside the estate.

Plunged in the peace of an unpolluted nature, “The Door” of Mignana offers its guests a breathtaking view, that stretches out as far as the eye can see through the valleys of Empoli, San Miniato and Vinci letting everybody make out Livorno, the Tyrrenian See and Gorgona Island.

Cozy Apartments with Great Toskana feeling

The Check-in was easy, Filomena was very welcoming. The Apartment was really cute with a good kitchen Equipment and beautiful rooms. Clean Pool with fantastic View over the Tuscan landscape.

Generally 4 Star experience

Friendly landlords but for my feeling a little over concerned on COVID by maintaining an extra wide safety distance and very concerned to obtain the documents rather than asking how the travel was. We had a nice little two story cottage with an aircon unit we had to use for heating. The cottage was situated across the pool landscape with a great view ver the vally and sunset where we were clearly advised on the individual sections on where to sit and enter into the pool. The place was very clean and a missing toaster was readily provided. For a 5 star rating I would have expected: - a warm water supply that does not require to let the water run for 10 Mins - a more stable WIFI with more bandwidth - a functioning statellite TV - else only local TV available - a working washing machine, even though we were provided with an alternative option

Relaxing weekend getaway

We loved staying at Filomena’s apartments. Everything was very clean, nicely decorated and felt very authentic in the Tuscan style. The air-conditioning and pool were wonderful, and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

Un paraiso en la Toscana

Hola, Fuimos este pasado verano a la Porta Mignana y nos encantó el lugar. El sitio es excepcional para tener tranquilidad y a la vez está muy bien ubicado. El trato de Filomena lo mejor, siempre con una sonrisa y a tu disposición con sus detalles de cada mañana. Los niños se lo pasaron en grande con la piscina y con el entorno que proporciona la casa.
