Why Siggi Anton chose Laugaras
It is one of Reykjavik's finest examples of architecture, centrally located with teak interiors, balconies and good views.
What makes this House unique
Central location. Nice architecture inspired by Californian Mid-Century Modernism. Built by my grandparents who took care of every detail. My family has kept the house well and offer it to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice vacation in Reykjavik.

Cool, immaculate home in a great location.
We felt at home immediately here. Iceland was amazing and staying at this location only enhanced our experience. Thank you!
Thanks for staying with us Andrew, we enjoyed having you as our guest, welcome back!
Great home base for southern region Iceland daily adventures, very close to downtown Reykjavík
We were 4 adults and 2 children, lots of room for all. Lovely mid-century modern home. Friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you Oli and Siggi!
Lovely, convenient home
We (4 adults and 3 children) stayed 4 nights and had more than enough room. We were made to feel very welcome as we were shown around upon arrival, and this really is a lovely home with a very large family room and plenty of beds for everyone. Also has a great view of the water from both sides, and is a very easy drive into town or out into the countryside (bus also stops right in front). Iceland Grocery store is an easy drive with very reasonable prices.
Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!
Lovely home conveniently located!
This was a lovely home in a centrally located area - bus picks up outside the house or a 15 min walk to downtown. The house had plenty of room and the owners were kind enough to provide us with coffee for the morning. We travelled all across Iceland using this home as our base and it was the perfect place for respite after our long days of travel. We were travelling with our 3 adult children plenty of space for all! Highly recommend.
Great place to stay!
We were in Reykjavik from August 3-9 and stayed in this home with a group of 7 people. It was very cozy, comfortable and clean. Exactly as you see in the pictures. 10 minute drive to downtown. Owner was very punctual and met us to let us into the house. Highly recommend staying here! :)
Convenient accommodations in Reykjavik for the whole family
The house is comfortable and charming for up to seven people (though if you have seven, as we did, there may sometimes be a wait for the one shower). The location is in a residential area but only a short drive to downtown, with easy access to highways out of town to the many sights in the countryside. There is a supermarket (Bonus) within a short drive. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful, stocked the well-equipped kitchen with coffee, tea, milk and breakfast cereal so we didn't have to shop immediately, and were very accommodating about our arrival in the middle of the night. The house is modern, inspired by the owners' stay in California, with plenty of windows and a pleasant living area.
