A retreat style of getaway surrounded by a plethora of historical, cultural and environmental significance. An authentic experience that you will cherish for life to resonance with legendary Hawkesbury landscape for healing your body and mind.

Milson Passage is boat access only. (You can get there by your own boat, water taxi or hire our boat - we have a house and boat package if you have a valid boat license.)
It is located on other side of Danger Island, 15 mins boat trip from Brooklyn and 8 mins boat trip from Mooney Mooney boat ramp. 20 mins drive from Hornsby and 50 mins drive from Sydney CBD, within greater Sydney
Here is our special offer for our winter from May to July - any booking of two nights will receive one more night and book three nights to receive extra two nights for free, with an early check in after 1030am and late check out 2pm. - major plublic holidays weekends are excluded in this promotion.

Tranquility

My children (8, 10yo), wife and I spent a very relaxing summer long weekend at the property. The photos are a very accurate representation - the property is very well kept, clean, well appointed and conveniently positioned. There were only 4 of us, but the property would easily accommodate an additional 4 - 6 people (8 - 10 total). Miranda (the host / owner) was very communicative and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The boat package worked out really well for us. The kids were very keen to try out fishing, and we enjoyed exploring Jerusalem Bay, Berowra, Spencer and a couple meals nearby at Coastal dining. In the evenings, the barbecue and pool table were great. We had a very enjoyable weekend here and would highly recommend it.

Great place although charged for damages not made by us

We had a great stay there .. A beautiful house but was a shame the experience was ruined as a day bed in the boat house broke under the weight of two 14 yo girls who were sitting on it. After being honest and reporting the damage, which must have experienced previous damage/stress , she didn’t believe us and charged us $320 for repairing the damage.. there was also random piles of paint brushes, paint , cleaning products left in open places ..

We were excited to have staff spending over 10 hours prepared for your special event and had numerous conversation in details to assist with the event. But the damage was a sharp clean break on a day bed been in the house for over 15 years from 4 previous owners. It has to be a heavy weight to have caused it. We have photos and a few people who sighted it also believe the same cause. It was repaired by experience d trade an who sighted it last weekend to get materials to reinforce and put the leg and jointed together that Incurred costs to be reimbursed which is a small amount and a reasonable request. We did not charge you for the extra persons staying for two nights that’s an extra saving of at least $300. We also left a vintage red wine of 2013 from a 179 years old family wine maker. We did not mention of spa n oven door were left extremely dirty and a small item gone missing n said we would not worry those costs and reduce the amount of claim but the guest refused to pay anything nor willing to make a counter offer which is rather in reasonable. It’s a shame that our kindness and hostility were abused. We could not hold any small damages claim under $50. We have 99% happy guests and it’s a shame to experience what we have experienced with this booking.

Easter Break we all needed

We wanted to find a large house that was 'away from it all' where we could just relax and enjoy our time together. The large group consisted of my husband and myself , our two young adult boys and their mates. Other than the 4 generously proportioned bedrooms, Miranda our host also helped us with a spare mattress. What I loved about this house was that it was big enough for everyone to find their own little piece of paradise... a jetty to fish off, a hot tub, a sunlounge to read on or a pool table to challenge the mates. It was also cosy enough to bring us all together for every meal which was perfect as the large kitchen was able to keep supplying food for the masses. Miranda did her very best to accommodate our needs and the needs of her next guests and we were happy with the communication. Highly recommend this home for large intergenerational groups

Christmas at the Cove

The Cove on Milsons was an idyllic place to spend our extended family Christmas and New Year. The house and its gardens are private and peaceful, well equipped and comfortable. Dana is an excellent and enthusiastic host. Any issues or questions were answered straight away. She kindly set up Christmas decorations for us and left a bottle of wine. The house was big and comfortable. More than enough for the nine of us. We loved the spa and the pool table and the kayaks and made great use of them. The lounge and tv were good for movies nights and gaming. The separate boat house has a great daybed with a view of the wharf and is a great place for reading. We loved having a pet friendly house and our much loved dog had a fantastic time. Local dogs were all friendly. The floating pontoon wharf is excellent and made it easy to access our two boats. It makes a great fishing spot. We hired Dana’s boat as well as our boat which made transporting nine people and supplies easier. All in all it was a fabulous ten day stay and we hope to come back one day.

Stayed with a bunch of friends.

This property was beautiful. The house was large and luxurious. The boat rental was very fun and quite fancy. The kayaks were great fun too when we all used them on the river. Kitchen was large and had all necessary amenities. Whilst there we prepared 3 dinners, 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts. The spa was really nice to use and fit 7 of us at once. It just took a while to warm up (6 hours) and I needed to look up the instructions. The host, Miranda left us a nice bottle of sparkling red wine which was a nice touch. TV was very large. The beds were very comfortable and well-made and has bed-side tables and lamps. There were spare mattress in two of the rooms. The washing machine and drier worked well. The dish washer was great too. Miranda was a great host and was very helpful in teaching us to use her boat. Wifi was alright but quite slow especially for a house of 8 or so guests. Also, I am with Aldi Mobile and the 4g reception was very poor. Coffee pods aren’t my favourite but I am a snob so I brought my own ground coffee and used Miranda’s large French Coffee Press and that was great. Note: You can’t drive the boat at night because it doesn’t have head lights. Docking the boat takes some practice but isn’t too difficult.
