Great stay for kids

Home by the beach

Great home with a separate retreat downstairs, perfect for our teen and her 2 friends. Well equiped kitchen, perfect for big family! We will definitely be staying again!

Toms House

Well appointed. Yard could do with a tidy up but good for pet dog. Disappointed unable to get ABC TV, but possibly a transmission /reception problem. Overall quite satisfactory.

A perfect family holiday

Great family getaway

We loved this house, it feels like a home away from home. It is really nice to stay somewhere that is so generous with all the little extras (kitchen appliances, cleaning gear, condiments etc). We had the most relaxing stay sitting on the beautiful deck hearing and seeing all the birds. Thank you!

Walking distance to everything!

Just spent a week at Tom’s with four kids and the house had a great set up with plenty of rooms, self contained granny flat downstairs and the bonus of having ducted air con. House was very clean and all beds comfortable. Easy walk to beach and grocery store and plenty of kangaroos to see! Good time enjoyed by all.

Lovely stay

Thanks for having us Tom, we had a lovely stay at point lookout. Well catered for us with the baby and both sets of grant parents and our dog. All though the dog got out the first night at the back so you might have to consider fencing the back in better if you allow bigger dogs on the property.

The perfect place!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house and we all love it. Two families each with two children and a dog fit perfectly and it’s a great place to spend time when we’re not out exploring the island. Last time we forgot to order linen and the owners were absolutely amazing in helping us organize this. We hope to return again next year.

Great location, functional home

We have stayed here before so know the property well; its conveniently located to the beaches and is pet-friendly so works for us. Teenagers downstairs in the granny flat and parents upstairs. We met the owners who came across to do the clean and garden themselves - delightful couple who have owned the property for a long time. We'll stay there again!

Great spot

Tom’s holiday house was perfect for 2 families. With duel living upstairs and downstairs, there was plenty of room. The house is also very close to Cylinder beach and Point Lookout. A great house in a great location. The fire pit and beanbags were a highlight 😁 definitely coming again. Thanks

Our regular spot

We like this property so much it has become our regular place to stay every chance we get. Great hosts - when the internet was wobbly the first time, the next time the whole kit had been replaced and Tom was standing there ready to explain it to us! Now it works perfectly. Thanks for the great holiday.

Great for our needs

Well-equipped house, easy to enjoy all that Straddie has to offer. Excellent when it comes to owners. We were not impressed by how Stayz online listing is missing several key points of information that were only included in an emailed document titled RentalAgreement. Other rental agencies we used in past on Straddie match what is written online and what is in their rental agreement, thus preventing misunderstandings and possible visitor disappointment if you happen not to notice the attached document.

Well-provisioned and well-positioned

This is a really well-stocked and roomy home which has everything you need to serve as the home base for an awesome family beach trip. Easy walk to the two main beaches and the best cafes on the island. Our pup was super happy with the yard to sniff and pup in. I would recommend this wholeheartedly, even in hurricane conditions which is what we had most of our week there. Only two things which were tricky were the CD player in the back of the downstairs TV, which doesn't fully eject CDS but can be pulled out by hand, and the internet, which with some good communication and mcgyvering we got working in the end.

The layout promotes privacy and personal space, allowing everyone to take time out for themselves. Unfortunately, there was an issue with noise from the neighbors behind us. Their disturbances were disrespectful, particularly for those who were trying to enjoy their recreational time. The sound can negatively affect the atmosphere, disrupting the otherwise serene vibe of the space.Despite the noise issue, the property itself sounds ideal for those seeking a comfortable and spacious living environment. With proactive approaches, it's possible to enhance the communal experience for everyone involved.
