Comfortable three bedroom family house on level block with modern kitchen and bathrooms, three comfortable bedrooms, fireplace, attractive outdoor setting with lake views and pet friendly. Short stroll to Frothy Coffee and the lake. Walking distance to shops (take away food; general store; butcher; bakery; liquor store and hairdresser). Courtesy bus to Bowling Club.

Great stay for families

Christmas at Smiths Lake

The property was well presented and well stocked with utensils and products for cleaning and cooking with. The cleanliness of the property was excellent. A comfortable and enjoyable stay over the Christmas period where my other family members could enjoy on Christmas day.

Beautiful cottage like stay

Cottage feel accommodation with beautiful shady garden. The best equipped kitchen for those who love to cook! Awesome location- close to lake, shops and coffee! Aircon, great modern bathrooms.A great, easy stay!

Great place for relaxing break

Really lovely property, all you need in a place and really nicely renovated. Loved the fireplace. Also, and most importantly to me was that the yard was secure for my dogs.

Great quiet spot perfect for family and dog

Property was lovely and clean and more spacious than expected. Easy walk to lake and cafe although you do need a car to get about. Beds were goldilocks so we slept well and kitchen was very well stocked. Overall we enjoyed our Easter stay away from hectic crowds

Dog friendly & great location!

We had a fantastic stay, with young family & our old dog. Corkwood is such a well maintained & set up holiday home. Very comfortable & not in need of a thing. We would love to come again! Thanks for a great stay Diane.

Great pet friendly lake side house

I always appreciate having a lovely place to stay with my dogs. The home is well located and only a short walk to the lake and a short drive to wonderful beaches. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable.

Always spotlessly clean

This is our 4th or 5th stay at Corkwood. It suits our needs perfectly and always spotlessly clean. We were saddened to see the Fatty Vaughton cookbook no longer there - we always look for it for a nostalgic giggle. Host is very accommodating.

cooks delight

I appreciated the way in which the house has been furnished with all the little comforts of home that you find yourself needing. Flour herbs etc as well as things like mosy coils etc.

Great property.

Our dog loved the fenced yard, having the fire was a welcome addition in the cold nights even in October. The house was well stocked with all we should need. A suggestion is to get some type of 1/2 screen on the bath shower. there is no way to shower there without causing a flood in the bathroom. Thanks to our hosts.

Our Favourite Place to Stay

This is our second time we have stayed at Corkwood. Awe absolutely love this place, it has a beautiful feel, perfectly located and spotless. The amenities are great with 2 bathrooms, fans, fireplace, stereo, wifi access, pizza oven …. so much more to list. Our pets loved the closed backyard. As soon as they got there you could see the recognition on their face! Means lots of beach runs and walks along the lake. We hope to stay there in the future as our block of land is a couple of doors down .

Perfect homely stay

Corkwood at Smiths has everything you need to feel like you’re in a home away from home. It rained nearly the whole time we stayed there and it was so nice to light a fire, play board games, watch movies and just do nothing! I’ve been to Smiths a lake many times and this is one of my favourite places to stay especially with dogs- absolutely stress free!

Wonderful Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, house has everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing stay. We were a group of 4 adults, two teenagers and a small dog and felt very comfortable here. Wifi was great, DVD player was perfect for movie nights and the available board games made for fun afternoons. The location is a short walk to the lake, coffee shop and local shops. The area also offers plenty of activities which my family enjoyed, such as surfing, fishing and 4WD. Communication with Diane was great. We will definitely be back!
