Lakefront Artist's Loft - Relax in Luxury!

Our lakefront Artist Loft is ideal for those who want/need isolation or just enjoy privacy in a beautiful setting. Spend your days working on the high speed internet poolside, and evenings sipping wine and watching the sun set over Lake Silver from the HUGE 2nd story deck This is accessed via a spiral staircase which you must be willing and able to ascend : ). The space displays original art work (I’m the artist) and has a breathtaking view of spring fed Lake Silver from the HUGE 2nd story balcony.

For your indoor comfort, we provide 100% cotton sheets, bamboo pillows and a pillow top queen mattress. A Keurig with all the supplies for your morning coffee is available as well as a microwave and refrigerator. We have highspeed internet and plenty of charging locations. A small sitting area provides a space to work or to snug in and read a book.

Outdoor comfort is also waiting for you on the second-floor deck, by the pool or lakeside. Have a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the deck sofa. Lounge poolside and enjoy the sun or sit lakeside in an Adirondack chair and look for wildlife. You may spot jumping Bass, Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, ducks and otters. Note: the pool and lake are accessible to the entire property, tho rarely used by the owners : )

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood in College Park conveniently located to hospitals, arenas, downtown and the attractions. There are numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance. We have a parking spot available for you at the house or UBER/Lift are readily available. Upon request, an EV charger is available. For your convenience check in and entry is via a keyless lock so you can come and go at your leisure. We are happy to help with anything you may need or to leave you alone in peace and quiet.

IMPORTANT: As this studio is on the second floor, you MUST be willing and able to ascend the exterior spiral staircase. Note: Hospital Grade Cleaners utilized. No Smoking

Everything about this property was amazing. Beautiful scenery. Very calm and quiet. The room is cute and clean and has everything you need. Great shower. Pool is serene and even tho it was cold we got in daily haha. We were staying for EDC and it was a quick convenient drive there. We ate and drank at a few places within a few minutes from the house and everything was amazing. We have never stayed in this area of Orlando and i am so glad we did. Communication with quick and kind with Joan. Very happy with our stay and plan to come back for EDC stay again.

Pack light and enjoy closeness

Recently retired, stayed for a week with my wife. Getting suitcases up the spiral staircase required effort from both of us and proved challenging. Beautiful view overlooking peaceful lake from deck.Toilet/shower area is all in the same converted bedroom space so best be well acquainted with any companion you may take.

Tranquility

The neighborhood was lovely. The view from the balcony was just beautiful. I had my tea and croissant each morning looking out over the water, watching the pelicans diving for fish. A very relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Stay and Amazing View

My husband and I loved our stay. It was clean and there was everything we needed for our four night vacation. I agree with the other reviews that the view from Joan’s property is absolutely stunning, and it was a very private location. I also agree with the other reviews that the spiral staircase is a bit difficult to navigate luggage up, but having had the heads up about it from reading other reviews made me know what to expect, so it really wasn’t a bother. Nice, quiet neighborhood, and overall a decently short drive to various attractions in Orlando. Loved the place! Thanks, Joan!

Enjoyable quiet experience

This property was a nice studio apartment on a quiet lake. Studio apartment was exactly as shown. All questions from owner were answered quickly. Physical grounds (ie pool area) are in need of a little refresh. I did not swim in the pool Overall a great quiet retreat for one person. Enjoyed watching the wildlife on the lake.

Private view of lake

Very private place, with a view of the lake. No TV. Spiral staircase to get to the door. Comfortable bed. Great shower head, but fire alarm goes off every time you take a shower, but you get used to it. Door opens up to large balcony view over the lake. Really pretty.

Quite scenery with beautiful view

I had a great time staying in Joan’s place, so quite, high level of privacy and beautiful scenery. of course no stove or TV just to not be surprised:) Walking trails were little far as all parks around are too small for a long walk but, restaurants are within 10 minutes walking which is nice. Only downside that the utensils seem to not be used for some time and needed to be washed from dust. Overall, it was a delightful experience and Joan was super quick to respond to my msgs. Would definitely come back for another solo trip.

First VRBO Experience

The Artist Loft was exactly as pictured and described. We found it very relaxing. We stayed here to extend the 3 weeks we had already been in different areas of Florida, it was a nice way to wind down and get ready to travel home. I am an avid Nature Photographer, absolutely loved all the different wildlife right outside the door. The pool was refreshing and clean. Wonderful restaurants near by and beautiful parks for Nature walks. The only thing I would suggest is painting the entrance area (doors) they need a little TLC.

A Secret Oasis

Peaceful. Tranquil. Clean. Intimate. I have no other way to describe the beauty and charm of this secret gem. This was my very first time booking with VRBO and I am so very grateful to have had such a wonderful experience at Joan's beautiful artist loft. I was nervous about everything being in one room and assumed that the bathroom was out in the open based on one of the pictures. The germaphobe in me was concerned but I was pleasantly surprise to see that doors were added to the space when I arrived so the toilet is enclosed. Everything was super clean, the sheets were fresh and I felt comfortable making this place my home for a few days. I ran into Joan a few times and she was super sweet. I really enjoyed meditating by the water and taking my Zoom meetings on the enormous patio. This was my first time in College Park and it's a nice little town. I really needed peace and calm after a rocky start to 2023 and Joan's loft was just what I needed. Her art is gorgeous and it stimulated my own creativity! Another bonus was that I was able to celebrate my birthday is this stunning space! I will definitely be back! I'm actually still on a high from this visit. Thank you Joan for being an fantastic host! Beautiful location

This location was perfect for me. It was close to everything I wanted to do while in town. Sorry no Disney or Universal trips. I was in town for a concert at the Orlando Amphitheater at the Fairgrounds. The lake view was gorgeous. It was very quiet. The house, the room and the neighborhood. Yes the spiral stairs are a little difficult, especially when wet. I could see it being an issue if you are older and or injured. I had absolutely no problems with them. Parking was great. To be honest I didn't hang around much because I had plenty of things to do. But when I was there I felt happy, satisfied and at peace. I didn't see the land lord. I didn't need to but it would have been nice to say Hi. No big deal. There was no TV unless it was behind a curtain and I didn't see it.. Again no big deal for me..I don't watch much TV but I did go out to a restaurant/bar a couple evenings to eat and watch some FB games. Would have done that anyways... Overall a very satisfied customer. I would repeat. A very nice and relaxing place to stay.
