Nice but too crowded

This was a last minute, quick trip. We booked one day and checked in two days later. Booking easy, check-in easy. Didn’t have linens for the pull out sofa, sent an email and was brought some within an hour. I also would’ve liked to have had a few throw rugs for the front door and near the balcony to wipe feet off. Toilet in main bathroom needs a new flapper or something. Room floors could’ve been a little cleaner when we arrived. Too big, not enough elevators. I didn’t like that you have to share beach access with the public. It was too crowded for our liking. Also, no ramp so if you have a wagon or stroller, must have help down the steps. Overall a nice place, but won’t be back.

This room is disgusting !!!! DO NOT RENT THIS ROOM!!!!!!

This room was terrible! The couch was FILTHY! There were rips and tears in the cushion and the couch is black from filth! We wouldnt even sit on it. The coffee table had burn marks on it. The remote was covered in gunk! The Kitchen chair covers were disgusting! There was big chunks of hair in the master bathroom floor! The master bedroom comforter had stains on it! The chair in the MB was peeling and looked awful! The balcony furniture was ripped up and was dirty! The floor mats in the rooms were dirty! (we took pictures of everything)!Needless to say, we IMMEDIATELY left this and went to the rental company (Panhandle Getaways) and spoke with Joe B. And he was AMAZING! He was able to move us to another condo which was beautiful! If you ever do business with Panhandle getaways, please ask for Joe B! Thankfully this experience did not ruin our vacation! Who ever the owner of this property is needs to be aware of how bad this condo is and needs to give this condo some much needed TLC!!

Splash

The condo was adequate. Nice balcony. Seemed smaller than it appeared online. I would say the furnishings in the living area were sparse, a love seat and a chair, there weren’t many of us staying but it never seemed to have enough space to sit, unless you want to sit at the kitchen table which seemed overly large for the space. Had to tighten the globe on the ceiling fan because it looked like someone had unscrewed it just enough to stay until it eventually fell from the fan movement. It was barely on. The couch and chair had the outer layer of vinyl peeling off. Beds were great, clean linens. Very few utensils and cups or bowls. One tp, one laundry detergent, one dish washer pod….. I get that they’re not responsible for cleaning our clothes and dishes, and that if they’re were more it could be taken with previous guest for whatever reason, but ….. it seems cheap and very much I don’t care about my guests. The “free activities” would have been nice, however the email with booking details didn’t come until a few days before our arrival and everything was booked already. I’m sure it’s partly because it was a holiday weekend and a semi-late booking, but would be better to send it out earlier. The resort has public beach access with pedestrian crossing right between the east and west towers. The grounds and common areas were not great, needs repairs and better cleaning, it’s definitely showing its age. The elevators were the worst part. We spent almost an hour waiting on one.

Pictures are wrong of unit 906 W. DON'T STAY HERE

The unit was barely cleaned. Walls were stained, fridge was rusted and freezer didn't work well, while the refrigerator side was freezing our food. The master bed was sunk in at the middle so we were rolling into one another all night. The pics used for unit 906 West must be from when it was new! The furniture was stained. Other reviews shows owner has known of these problems for awhile but not fixed. We Won't use this unit again. Splash resort shouldn't let the owners just let their condos go. It gives them a bad name. Overall splash resort is a great spot to stay they just need to make owners do up keep on properties. Would love to submit real pics of unit 906W

Best ever!

Beautiful property, beautiful condo! So spacious and airy. I believe the master bath was as big as a bedroom.. The extra large balcony from living room to bedroom was spectacular! The view was nothing short of amazing! With all the uncertainty of Covid19 thank you for making this vacation perfect!

Cleanliness

Refrigerator has rust all over it. Did not feel it was sanitized enough so did it myself before anyone else was allowed in. No covid-19 precautions by most of the staff or other occupants.

Fun time with grandkids!

VRBO makes it easy and is always accurate. Unit was nice and clean, it was our 6th year in a row to that the grandkids so Splash. All good except the slow elevators. We rented 3 units. See you next year.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay with younger kids lots of things to do from the water park and the lazy river along with the pools. Plus you are just outside all the Panama City traffic! We will definitely be returning for our 5th time!

Great place for familes with small kids!

The Splash Resort is just right for families with small kids. Our kids loved the splash pads, pools, and water activities. One MAJOR ISSUE though is with the elevators. VERY LONG wait times to use them. For the amount of people using the building, 2 elevators is very inadequate.

Disaster

Upon arrival, the door was wide open and the door frame was busted. We could not close the door or lock it for safety. We were moved to the opposite building to a room that was not clean. We were told we would be staying there for our remaining visit. I was told a manager would call me in the morning to access the situation and offer us some type of refund for our trouble. No one called...I had to call and was told to stay there for the rest of our trip. My wife then got a call and was told the door frame was fixed and we had to move back to the original building because the door was “fixed”. It was rigged to shut but not fixed. Now I have to move 2 toddlers , a teenager, and my wife back to the other room. The only thing that was offered to me was to stay an extra night which we could not or we would have booked a trip to stay that long. Now no one answers calls or emails from Panhandle Getaway. Stacy was the name of the lady that offered us an additional night but never responded back after I told her we could not. Simply said; terrible experience, nasty rooms, no assistance, no one concerned, we will never use Panhandle Getaways for anything again or will discourage others from doing so. Maybe VRBO can assist us???

Resort makes up for what room lacks

While we has a great vacation this room needs a lot of updating. For starters the couch is so run down and has holes in the cushion covers, and the only other chair meant to lounge in appears to actually be an outside side with literally no cushion to sit in and if very uncomfortable. You can not consider the kitchen fully stocked with only two cups and very little cookware. There were signs of makeshift fixings all around the condo. There were no extra blankets for the pull out sofa not to mention we only had a lightweight blanket (no comforter) on king bed and that was not enough. The ceiling fan appears to be falling in master bedroom and light in shower was out making it rather dark. The washer and dryer are painfully slow!! On the positive side-the condo layout was great! The master bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and the open kitchen and living room were nice. THe balcony offers beautiful views and the resort itself is great! The shaded pools offer a much needed break from the sun. Panhandle was excellent at responding immediately when our A/C went out. They had it fixed before we got back for lunch. The condo was very clean and that is very appreciated! Overall this is a good place but considering we are on vacation and spending s good amount of money, it would be nice not to be downgrading on housing, decor and furniture.

Beer budget place with champagne prices!

A lot was lacking for the hype that is made. The condo was tastefully decorated however the cleaning crew could do a better job considering you can't check in till 4 and have to be out by 10. The grill is a rip off 7.99 for (4) yes four cheese sticks. Save your $ and get a sammixh in ur room. The lazy river was out of service and was closed all week which was one of the main reasons I stayed there. The resort said something had the pump stopped up. You would think as much money as they make off of vacationers every week , month etc, the pump could have been fixed in a days time even if they had to buy a new one. Oh and if I had a free week in the property I stayed At That place would look really good when i got done. You would think maintaince would replace rusty shower rods , light bulbs out all through, dust on dresser and cabinets ,and the base boards needed some serious attention . Nice property you can just tell owners probably don't come in a lot and the cleaning crew does a half ass job

The condo was beautiful!

Condo was very clean and it was updated very nicely. The beach view from the 9th floor was spectacular. There were some minor items in the condo that could be addressed but it would not stop me from staying there again. It would be great if there could be a mirror in the 2nd bedroom. The sheets are nubby and need replacing and there is a stain on the couch. As I said very minor things. Don't them stop you from booking this condo.
