Perfect family break
We booked this as a getaway for ourselves and our 4 and 6 year old and it was the perfect break. Alyssa was a fantastic host and our children didn’t want to leave. They loved running around the woods, playing on the swing and being with the animals. When we went into Eugene on Saturday, Alyssa even let us leave our dog out to play with her dogs. We travel a lot and this was a memorable family experience.

Clean, peaceful, and well-furnished getaway
The place was beautiful, peaceful, and well-furnished. It had everything we needed to have a relaxing visit. The host was attentive and it's obvious how much energy she has put into making her guests feel looked after. Breakfast was delicious, healthy, and served to our room! We spent the day by the lake and the evenings relaxing in the kitchen making our favorite food and watching classic movies we remembered from growing up. We will defintely be back!

Charming Retreat
I considered myself fortunate to find this property for a last minute get a way. Located in a quiet rural area, even the fifteen minute drive from Cottage Grove was enchanting. The accommodations are very comfortable with plenty of outdoor space to explore a forest trail or enjoy time on a river bank. There are games, books and movies provided should weather keep you indoors. Watching the antics of ducks, chickens, goats, grazing horses, a couple of dogs, small pig and a wayward bunny provided a surprising amount of fun entertainment. Alyssa provides a delicious breakfast each morning. It is a personal touch from a very gifted artisan I found to be outstanding. She also offers to prepare a meal, which I will certainly request should I find myself able to visit again. There isn't cell service (a welcome addition to my sense of peacefulness) however, internet is available should staying connected be a requirement. I highly recommend a stay in this beautiful retreat. Judi W

Wonderful relazing
When we arrived for our stay we were welcomed with a nice warm fire in the cozy studio. Our one night stay wasn't longing enough to enjoy all the great activities we could have done. We will for sure be back and stay longer so we can go on a horse back ride, play in the river across the street and would love to bring our kayaks to enjoy the lake down the road. Alyssa was an amazing host. The breakfast she made us was wonderful but we couldn't eat it all. She even brought us smore fixings to have outside over the fire she made us. Their little boy is very sweet along with their dog. A very relaxing place to be. If you are ever in or around Cottage Grove this is a must stay. It is a little ways out. But the country side is so beautiful and their place is like a country retreat. With the garden and all the animals. You will love it.

A passion for all living things & a deep commitment to family, you'll find me the happiest on our farm with my family (Husband, Erik and 1 1/2 year old baby boy Cru) along with all our friendly furry friends. If I'm not tending to the animals or the garden, I'm probably working on crafts, decorating, baking or elbows-deep in canning. However, if it's summer, we frequently escape to our great river's swim holes across the street. Erik & I both have a love for the outdoors and a passion for using our imagination to create. Horses have a special place in my heart & I love anything that has to do with them. Spoiling, tending to and putting a smile on people's faces is what I live for. Being a hostess in any shape or form is my calling. Erik's soft spot is for rock climbing and biking. We both are very loving & easy going. Although we can get real silly at times and love a good laugh, we are also responsible and hardworking. We are both friendly and love to learn and share stories with others. I work one day a week as the kitchen manager of a school and Erik works in underground line construction excelling towards Lineman status.
We recognize that in todays world things can be extremely crazy, scary and so rushed causing stress and hardship to all. We all need a break once and a while from life's hustle and bustle. Let us be your break. We are here to spoil you! To honor the person you are and shower you with a contagious, positive, loving vibe that will send a ripple when you leave spreading the love through and through. We feel so blessed for all that surrounds us! We love our family and farm so much we are honored and excited to share it with you!
