It does not get any better than this! This hand-crafted Amish Log Cabin is the perfect place to bring the family or friends for a long weekend of relaxation. The 10 x 30 deck that overlooks Hales Creek is the place where you'll want to sit and watch the sunset and unwind after a day of exploring all that the area has to offer. In the evening, load up the fire pit and toast a marshmallow or two!
Yet only minutes from there, you can find lakes and rivers to swim, boat or canoe on, or take your quads to the hundreds of miles of ATV trail that go through Jackson and Clark County. For those that enjoy winter sports, bring your snowmobiles or go down the road to Bruce Mound for sking and snow-tubing. Majestic Pines casino is nearby along with many other local attractions, fairs and restaurants.

About Jennifer Pulley
My husband and I, along with our friends and family, enjoy spending time in the Black River Falls area. It's everything you want in the 'northwoods!' Hunting, fishing, relaxing, great eating places, beautiful colors in the woods, and lot's of indoor or outdoor activities. We started working with an Amish group there a few years ago and started building log cabins together. We've begun to rent them out to others and enjoy sharing our knowledge of the area with the new comers! We tend to have lot's of repeat guests, because once you get a feel for the slower pace of the area, you'll want to come back!
Jennifer Pulley purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Jennifer Pulley chose Black River Falls
The family has been coming to the area for 50 years and this gave us a reason to keep coming. It's easy to get there, private, yet close to local fun.

Awesome New Year’s Eve trip.
We really enjoyed our New Year’s Eve stay . Cabin was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. It has all amenities a family could ask for. Spacious living room and dining area. Inside the cabin was really warm and cozy even temperature outside was below zero. We went to Bruce Mound for skiing and tubing (only 8 minutes drive). Jennifer was very responsive. Definitely we would recommend this cabin to stay.
Glad you had a good start to the New Year! Thank you for coming and I hope you can come again when it's warm out to explore even more.
Thanks again and Happy New Year!
This was a perfect for for our family! My husband, our three kids (9yrs. And 8 year old twins) met with my sister, her husband, 3year old and their pup- for a weekend together. The open floor plan, rustic decor and tons of Windows gave us all room to move and still be together. Huge kitchen, heated basement floors, the patio has an amazing view of the river and woods. The kids saw a bear and an eagle! Across the road is a horse farm and thet seemed to be right by the front patio swing where my daughter spent time watching them with delight. The creative showers and whirlpool tub where a conversation piece. We certainly hope to return.
Thank you so much for the wonderful words! I feel like you really understand our whole concept of wanting a simple, rustic log cabin (yet with modern conveniences), that showcases the amazing location and view!
I'm glad you got to see some of the wildlife highlights too.
The cabin is beautiful and the view is amazing. However, it was very dirty. The bed sheets smelled.
When we first arrived my family and I were shocked by the view. We first thought it was beautiful. As we opened the door, the cabin was filled with over 100 flies. Not including the dead ones we found on top of the sink (approximately 20 dead flies). My family spent two hours trying to kill them. We had to purchase a spray to get rid of most of them. The basement was completely filled with about 100 more dead flies. We couldn't walk in there. The couches are very old and dirty. The bed sheets smelled very bad. The mattress is very bad as well, very uncomfortable. We honestly didn't care about the mattress. We were not able to shower in the master bedroom because the shower head didn't work. The other shower would get flooded every time we took a shower. Honestly, it seems like they cleaned the cabin months before we arrived. There was a lot of cobwebs, specially in the rooms. The place is beautiful, and the owner is very nice. They just need to be more clean. I read the signed book they had from previous guests and many of them complained on how dirty it was. Someone said they found dog food on the floor from previous guests. Unfortunately. we are not coming back. There was no phone service, I honestly didn't care. We were not able to get a hold of anyone, except 911.
I do not even know how to begin to reply to this fraudulent review. This guest also said they saw aliens and were visited by ghosts, so I'm assuming there was a lot of drinking or drugs involved. I find this review hurtful to myself, my caretaker/cleaning lady and to future guests. It's unfair when a guest gets to lie and not be held accountable for it.
To my future guests: please read her review with the knowledge that not once did she contact me say there was a problem, all I heard was that it was beautiful and amazing. Again, I will assume the aliens, ghosts and flies were just part of some bad wine. We take great pride in making our cabins a special place for guests and to have these lies put out there is unacceptable and in incredibly poor taste. Please contact me at anytime for more information.
This is our third time going to this cabin. We've been to two others and the past couple years. This is by far our favorite! We love it because it's a home away from home and a perfect place for my husband and I our two elderly dogs to relax and enjoy nature.
I love it when guests can feel the "cabin magic" working! The log cabin, the woods and water, all mixed with the local charm keep guests coming back year after year. Thanks for the awesome note and see you again soon!
Wonderfully Relaxing Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was exactly what we needed - quiet, relaxing, secluded. The cabin was lovely and had everything needed. There is a horse farm down the road which was nice. Some advice - some mobile carriers do not pick up in the cabin but if you take the short walk to the horse barn you will get reception.
Thank you for choosing our Creekside Cabin for your vacation and I am always so very happy to hear that our guests had a good time. Time off to relax, recharge and have fun is so important in our busy lives and we feel our part is to provide the best experience we can.
Thanks again !
Great place to meet up with family to kayak!
Really enjoyed this place. Loved the coziness of the cabin and yet very spacious! We kayaked from the Dam in Merrillian to Halls Creek Landing. The cabin was a great place to stop, get out for lunch, then get back in the water to finish the trip. Would definitely recommend this place!
What a great idea for a kayak trip! I've not thought to use it as a stop down Halls Creek, but I think you are on to something.
Thank you for coming and we hope to see you again for more adventures!
