The open concept layout features a spacious living room with a wet bar, fireplace, smart tv and foosball table which is open to the dining room and fully stocked kitchen for all your gathering needs. Or take the group outside to explore the 8 acres, the deck or fire pit area for bonfires and stories. The large gravel driveway connects to a circle turn around with plenty of parking for everyone, including trucks and trailers.

Direct access to the ATV/UTV and Snowmobile trails from the property! Located right in the middle of the Jackson & Clark County ATV and Snowmobile trail system. Many local recreational activities including the ATV/UTV trails, kayaking & canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, golfing, skiing at Bruce Mound, boating at Lake Arbutus, and relaxing, exploring, or scuba diving at Wazee Lake Recreation Area. Short drive to 10 different Black River Landings, Lake Arbutus, Wazee Lake County Park (no motor lake with great beach, beautiful cliffs and nature trails) and multiple creeks with Class I to Class III rapids.

Stayed here with family for a local Wedding at Garden Valley Gatherings in Ala Center, Lots of room and private setting. Would definitely rent again when in the area.

This location was perfect for our annual ATV trip. Convenient access to the trails. House had plenty of space. Will stay here again!

Absolute amazing place to stay!!! I can’t think of one negative thing to say. The amount of items that were provided is outstanding!! The lawn was not recently mowed but if your going to complain about that just pack up and go home!!! We actually preferred that since we were there side by siding and drove on the designated area.

Great place for a guys weekend

The house is perfect for getting together. Bedrooms are nice and very nice having two bathrooms. Pleny of seating in the living room and at dining table. Outside space is great as well.

UTV Fun!

We have 2 families of 4 with kids ages 15, 13, 12 & 8. The kids had a blast, lots of fun stuff to do. Sadly it was super hot with a heat advisory so we didn’t enjoy the large yard or fire pit :( swimming at Doc’s was a must. We will be back, we normally stay closer to Hatfield but enjoyed the change of scenery. Thank you!

Nice family getaway

We enjoyed our stay, exploring the nearby town of Black River Falls and the excellent hiking trails nearby. The house had plenty of room and fun activities to do, even when it was too chilly and windy to enjoy too much time outside. Would like to come back in the summer

Controlled Chaos

We had a great time during our stay. The house had everything we needed and was located just outside Black River Falls. We were up there for opening weekend of deer season. Would highly recommend if you like the outdoors this place is for you.

Nice location for riding ATV's for a group of friends ranging in age from 73-39. Liked fire ring and sat out all four nights around a fire. Thanks for sharing your house with us, and enjoyed the area.

Great place for guys retreat

Stayed three nights with a group of four friends. Hit the trails and played poker. Perfect location, layout and facilities for this! Newly built/renovated with all the accoutrements. Do yourself a favor and buy a frozen Jan’s pizza from a local place and cook it up in the on-prem pizza cooker. You won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon!

Great trail cabin

We went as a group of adults to ride the ATV trail system. It is a great location right in the middle of the trails. We were able ti ride north one day and then south the next. Very spacious house with lots of seating and great space to stretch out and relax. I would definitely stay here again.

Memorial Weekend

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Good driveway for trailers and ease of getting around. Excellent location. Inside of place was nice and comfortable. Outside could use some improvements. The outside appearance could turn people away from how nice the place actually is. We will book again in future.

Controlled Chaos

This home was everything we needed for our deer hunting trip to Black River Falls. When we came in from hunting we played poker, old school video games, foosball tournaments, watched movies, and napped. We also enjoyed some of the local restaurants in town. The area seems to be excellent for riding ATV’s or snowmobiles. I would highly recommend this place for any looking for a fun vacation.

Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation. It was my first time booking thru VRBO. It was fully stocked with pretty much everything (and more!) that we needed. Having a laundry room and fully stocked kitchen was very nice. And parking--oh my gosh--there was plenty of room for our vehicles and a large trailer without having to maneuver and back up whenever someone wanted to leave. Chris promptly answered all my questions when I booked. Would definitely rent from him again.

Worst VRBO Ever

We arrived at Controlled Chaos and the first thing I see is the lawn had not been cut at all this year. The grass was so tall and the yard so wet it was unusable. When we first walked in we really liked the décor, but very quickly realized the property had not been cleaned. I don't mean it was not cleaned well........It had not been cleaned at all. Every bedroom reeked of body odor and one was so bad we just kept the door shut and didn't use it. There were used Q-tips on the floor in virtually every room, I won't go into detail on what my wife and our friends found on the bedding, suffice it to say the bedding had not been laundered. We found a dirty sock in a bunched up sheet at the foot of the bed, vomit in both bathrooms. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. The ladies cleaned and washed the linens for our beds so we could at least sleep in relative comfort, but the other beds stunk all weekend. Apparently a "workgroup" was in the house for two weeks prior. I reached out to the host after our stay to see if we could come to some kind or equitable resolution. Initially the communication was very responsive and he did offer to waive the booking fee and a free night stay with another booking of course. We should have been offered a full refund and a free "give me another chance" weekend. but when that was mentioned he ghosted me. In fairness, I wanted to give him a chance to make it right before I gave a bad review, but I guess money wins. Do not stay here!!!!

We bought this place because of its quiet and peaceful location with direct access to the Black River Falls snowmobile and ATV trail system. Its a great place to hangout and create memories with our families and friends.

What makes this property unique

You truly feel alone and away from the world up here. The stars are awesome at night and you never know what animal will be crossing the back yard next, we love it here!
