This lovely nest is suitable for couples, lone adventurers, business travelers and families (with children) but first of all is littel jewel few steps from St. Peter and the Vatican CIty, with the beautiful Vatican Gardens and the precious Museums with the stunning Sistine Chapel. Despite the constant coming and going of people living the lively Prati neighborhood and heads (or comes) from the Vatican this is a quiet, perfect place for a vacation in sultry and busy Rome but also to rest in peace.
This house is a few meters from the studies and the offices of the national Radio and TV Rai. It's a neighborhood of elegant homes and major offices. No exception to the palace of Delfina house, which has a spacious lift with glass, to guide you up to the sixth floor. A small initial corridor driving on the right side with the largest of the bathrooms, equipped with tub and shower. Stylish and very functional. On the other side of the hallway you find the refined living room, with its library, comfortable sofas, the furniture of good value, the satellite TV, the pictures of Delfina's Dad ... many little details of great elegance. On one side of the living room there is the dining table set in a comfortable and refined niche, which hides (it's appropriate to say, not easily identified among the wall decorations), the door giving access to the second bedroom. In this small room, whose window overlooks the quiet inner courtyard, we find a large wardrobe, a desk and a single bed (the house is equipped with a bed, the third, that is organized and arranged before the arrival of guests). Close to this you can find the spacious kitchen, bright because of a glass door guiding to a small balcony with room for things of use and cleaning of the house. The kitchen has everything to cook with practicability, fireworks, space, oven, refrigerator, dishes, pantry and suitable tools. Another side of the living room lead to the master bedroom, with a very comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, an old pendulum, armchairs ... and the balcony, from which you can see part of the neighborhood, with a view ranging from the hill of Monte Mario to the Observatory Astronomical, reigning over the whole district towards the Vatican. Pleasant.
The second bathroom of the house, smaller but functional, is close to the second bedroom and in addition to wc, sink also has a shower. So many things in an intimate space but no feeeling of narrowsness. Alongside there is also a small sheltered place for the washing machine.
Really a little love nest.
Città del Vaticano, Vatican City, is the smallest Country in the world as it's Basilica, San Pietro, is the biggest and towering. They are pratically across the street and so are the Vatican Museums with Michelangelo masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel.
From San Pietro, walking through Via della Conciliazione, few hundred meters, there is Castel Sant'Angelo.
Built in 123 d.c, as a Mausoleum for the Emperor Adriano and his family, the castle went through continuous changes and developments, going from mausoleum to defensive post, from obscure prison to today the imponent building showing in the severe spaces, the massive walls , the frescoes in the big rooms and telling the
stories of the Eternal City. It's destiny is of been the oldest and constant historical and artistic teller in Rome's panorama.
From the Castle, after crossing the bridge Ponte dell'Angelo on the Tiber river, you are in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon .
Campo dei Fiori, Trevi Fountain and all Baroque and Renessaince beauties.
The house is easily accessible by bus, is very close to the taxi rank. The metro station Lepanto is about 800 meters. The neighborhood is very well connected to the rest of the city.
