The Gables Hout Bay is a Cape Dutch accommodation very homely decorated with African influences in one of the most prestigious villages in The Cape. Feel the care and personal touch in this spacious Villa, every room is boosting with character. 20 minutes from Down Town Cape Town. The villa is ideal for a large or even two families/ groups. It consists of a main house (sleeps 6) and an interconnecting cottage (sleeps 5). Sleeps 11 in total. The cottage and main house have an in-between door with a smooth flow as if they where one unit, yet both completely self-contained with the possibility of using separate entrances. 5 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 lounges with French doors leading onto the garden with sparkling solar heated pool, outside BBQ (Braai) facility. Lounge set with shady cover. Towels and bed linen provided.

Great place to stay in Hout Bay

We had a great time and will definitely return when in Cape Town again. Location is fantastic and ad hosts are super responsive and helpful.

Everything you need

What a spot

We spent just over 2 weeks at the Gables and would gladly do it again. We are a family of 5 and the house was so spacious we will ask friends to join us next time. Everything was perfect. Right down to the friendly squirrel in the garden. Central and homey.

Beautiful stay in Hout Bay

Our vacation in Hout Bay began with a warm greeting from Anita and Gerrie. The house was lovely and had everything that we needed. When faced with a small problem regarding the internet, it was handled quickly and efficiently. During our week at The Gables, the USA was hit with hurricane Sandy. Anita & Gerrie phoned us expressing their concern and gave us options if we needed to change our departure. Their hospitality, knowledge, and professionalism was appreciated. We recommend using them for your next unforgettable holiday. P.S. Have them put you in touch with Johnny for tours.

The Gables Hout Bay.

Family of five adults spent a week at The Gables and would highly recommend this property. It was clean, it was spacious, the decor was lovely, the outside area with pool was perfect for relaxing after a day visiting the beautiful surrounding areas and Cape Town. The location was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and the local harbour. The owners were extremely welcoming and helped with every query we had. We had a great time at The Gables and we’d definitely return to this property

Convenient, fully equipped and fantastic service

The property was very spacious and had all the facilities you could imagine. The wood burner was superb on the cold winter nights and the pool was even warm enough for a mid-winter swim. Anita and Gerrie were so helpful it was amazing, they couldn't do enough to help and were so responsive. The location of the house was superb and we were able to walk to the beach and shops/cafes in town. Highly recommended!

We spent our holiday in this house last week ! We were 2 big families with 7 children and we enjoyed a lot our staying in this property with his swimming pool and barbecue.We loved Hout Bay and Cape Town our trip in South Africa.... so many things to do and to discover! We had a lot of place and and the house is very well equipped very clean, class safety and well located : every facilities were near it and to discover Cap town too ! We appreciated a lot Anita and Gerrie 's kidness and their hospitality. They were available and so nice. Thank you Anita and Gerrie for everything! We hope to come back one day! Severine from France

Superb !!

We were absolutely happy with our stay. Everything was great and we loved the house, the big kitchen and the pool. Anita and Gerrie were wonderful hosts and made us feel like home from the first moment - thanks to both of you. Looking for a great place to stay - you found it right here.
