About this property

Relax in the charm of the Old Police Station

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Enjoy modern conveniences in the old police station, which originally was the old Margaret river police station in the 1920's, prior to being moved to Augusta. Now she is in Cowaramup countryside. The unspoiled surroundings lends to having a tranquil and beautiful stay among the abundant bird life, flora and views across the wetland areas.
Our farm is off grid, with our own solar panels generating reliable energy for our needs. Any introduced appliances need to be discussed with me prior to being used first, to ensure the rating suits being off grid.
Enjoy the amenities which include a wood space heater with complimentary sustainably grown firewood and kindling, grown on site, during your stay.
We are water self sufficient , with our own tanks that collect the pure rain water from the roof spaces .
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Lovely location

A lovely location, so peaceful and greeted by a kangaroo in the field nearby. Easy drive to Margaret River and Cowaramup, both lovely places, so much to do in the area. Host was very welcoming.

Unique spot in a beautiful place! Loved our stay at the old police station. Children enjoyed watching the lambs and making s’mores on the fire pit. Phone reception isn’t great and the wifi didn’t work but was nice to disconnect and enjoy the country. Thanks for having us!

Peaceful Gem

Lovely quirky cottage in such peaceful, relaxing surroundings. Great location. Would definitely love to come back,really enjoyed staying here. Cleanliness could be improved on, but this was a minor detail compared to all the positives. We found the towels smelly and tea towels oily. Towels were fine once we washed them.

Why they chose this property

We are a pet friendly stay. We would ask only that they are not allowed on beds or the furniture. Pets are more than welcome to sleep in the lounge room on their beds. It just means that the clean after a stay is made shorter and less expensive for the previous guest.
We have a small table and two chairs for your use outside if the weather is conducive. Please feel free to take them out but can you bring them back inside when finished.
We have an instant gas hot water system so just enjoy and relish the wonderful soft rainwater.
There is a guide book with instructions on appliances. Please feel free to use this should you need any assistance. Otherwise, feel free to ring me :)
The cook top and oven are gas.
Please make sure you acquaint yourselves of the fire exit plan that is found on the inside of the front door should there be any necessity for evacuation.
