Our daughter’s wedding was at Salem Cross Inn. We couldn't have picked a better location for family to gather before and after our celebration!Clean, quiet and a beautiful relaxing setting on the lake.

Family retreat

There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 1 under 18. We were having a retreat with all of our graduated children and their sister. Everything was beautiful and the home was cozy!

Quick visit on way to camp

Great property -- flexible sleeping arrangements, nice kitchen, spacious. Nice little area of the world. TV is in a weird spot relative to having kids sleep in the upstairs bedroom, but overall, very solid rental property.

Immaculate and beautiful

Another VRBO to add to my growing list of unforgettable vacation destinations. This house was everything I expected. The only draw back is even though the lake is right there and you can see it from upstairs you have to go a good bit around the lake to access it.

This is a 5-star property in every way. The house is gorgeous, totally equipped with everything you need and more. The rooms are beautifully laid out with many different sleeping options. The view is lovely. I could live here full-time and be very happy. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

West Brookfield Stay

The house was great. Had a few basics like salt and pepper, a few pantry staples, paper towels, etc.. which was helpful. Only complaint was only having a Keurig coffee maker instead of a drip coffee maker. Coffee lovers aren't satisfied with a Keurig. Surprise ping pong table in the basement was fun!

Very clean home with great amenities.

Last night after 11pm, all the smoke alarms kept going off. VERY loud. Waking us up. Had to shut the fuse. Upstairs thermostat stopped working. We feel we should be compensated for our discomfort.

Perfect, cozy retreat in West Brookfield

Stayed at this cozy little retreat while in town visiting family. The only issue we had was the kitchen was infested with ants - they were EVERYWHERE, all the time. We just killed them as we went along, but from day one, we found them all over the kitchen. We secured our food and moved on. The sleeping spaces were perfect for us, the finishes and details of the space were lovely. The place seemed brand new! We especially enjoyed the table tennis in the basement and the spacious garage for our vehicle and gear. The property owner called me to give me the access information for the property, which I felt could've easily been a text or email, so that was a bit odd. Other than that the space was exactly what we needed! Thanks so much! We'd stay here again, if needed. I'm sure they'll handle the ant issue.

Our stay was amazing for the first four days. We stayed Wednesday through Sunday. On Saturday a car drove up and opened the garage door and then close it and took off and it scared us tremendously. I texted the property owner about it and she called me and said it was just her and she thought that we were checking out on Saturday when my reservation clearly said we weren’t checking out until Sunday. It really shook us. It was a very scary moment. We decided to leave then because we no longer felt safe there we didn’t know who else had the code to the garage door And we didn’t feel safe and I told the property owner Phyllis that I wanted a refund for Sunday since we had to check out Saturday because we didn’t feel safe. Up until then the house was very nice very comfortable very clean, but the events of Saturday soured our vacation and made us very apprehensive about booking through VRBO. I would like a refund for the last day on Sunday since we checked out Saturday afternoon and did not get to spend our last night and day there. I don’t think it’s fair that I should have to pay for that considering it was not my fault that the property owner did not have her instructions correct even though my reservations never said anything but Wednesday to Sunday so I am not sure where she got the idea that we were checking out on Saturday. It was unprofessional for the owner, not to have her dates correct and we do not appreciate that. And I will be expecting a refund for the day we lost.

Great House

House was clean and new. Only thing I wish they would add is more TV's. Only 1 TV in the whole house which is upstairs. No TV's in the bedrooms or livingroom.
