We had a great visit to Lury. The cabin was comfortable and served us well. The cabin could use a deep clean. (floors, walls, cabinet doors, etc. We spent a good chunk of our time on the river and in the town. Thank you for your hospitality!

A few hiccups which the owner addressed immediately, this is a cabin in the mountains. It’s exactly what was expected. Bring your own internet. Everything was enjoyable as always! Thank you

Luray-4 stars. This home- 2 stars. I am usually not one to complain but there were just some things that could not be overlooked. Rain coming in from the basement and fireplace. Mold or mildew in the basement. Discoloration/film in the basement shower and toilet. Random trash we found throughout the place. Internet capability without the access. Bugs I can deal with, were in the mountains. And the lack of communication until I had to escalate to VRBO. I tried letting the host know and had it been at least acknowledged this probably wouldn't be an issue. These were not all the issues but some of the more major ones. But this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom quickly became a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom nightmare. Not to mention the back door was unlocked when we got there and the mound of trash in the shed that likely would attract wildlife and more bugs. It is fairly obvious that the owner or business that utilizies this home does not take this property or it's renters seriously and are letting it go downhill. I'm not expecting the Ritz or Carlton. But there are basics you expect. I would love to go back to luray but I surely won't be using this property, not even if the rates were cut in half.

Worst VRBO experience ever

We have stayed with VRBO often and are in the middle of a road trip with a handful of various VRBO properties. (We have already given two 5-star reviews to two other VRBO owners on this trip.)While we were surprised that one of the bedroom/ baths was in the basement, that was okay. What was NOT was the standing water on the floor in the basement. No support to remedy the situation was offered. Best we got: “we can have someone out in an hour and a half.” (Even the internet didn’t work as we were expected to await for a solution. We were in limbo.)We were told it was surprising that the water was there since housekeeping was just there. Doubting that as true as they would have seen the standing water and advised the owner is was not acceptable.Admittedly, weather and remote location made communications with the owner’s mgmt company difficult. It was between 8-9 PM and still no answers or assurances. We needed to stay someplace so booked two motel rooms to replace our supposed 2 Bedroom/ 2 Bath house.The mgmt company/ owner… after a week of trying to get answers… has offered 50% of one daily rate which amounts to maybe 25% of what we spent.For nothing but headaches.Unfair and untrustworthy. Unacceptable.We have used VRBO many times. By far, this is the worst. We also have to reconsider VRBO if this is the support we can expect.

The place is great but you must carry all the essentials. The place doesn't have wifi Internet so go with that preparation. Overall,I will want to visit again

Good weekend

Thank you so very much for allowing us to stay in your home. There were some issues that if I was the owner I would want to know about. The king bed’s box springs are broken. We noticed the bed was weird and upon further investigation we discovered the box springs had been broken.The floors also were pretty nasty. They looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped for awhile. Just thought someone ought to know We did enjoy our stay .

Beautiful, Cozy, and Amazing Place to Stay!

This was such a beautiful location for my bachelorette party! Just a few friends and I stayed here for a weekend and it was restorative and cozy. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was beautifully stocked with utensils and nice dishes, and everything was tastefully decorated. The bonfire pit in the backyard was such a great addition. I'm not sure what other reviewers are saying about the mold-- we didn't notice any problems there. Can't recommend this place enough.

Luray Caverns

The stay was absolutely perfect, we checked in with no issues. The place was in great shape, absolutely clean from top to bottom. This is a beautiful little get away with plenty of space and adequate sleeping arrangements with one bed and bathroom upstairs and one bed and bath downstairs. We will definitely be staying here again as it was beautiful inside and out and the price point was absolutely perfect. Thank you for all ur hard work to provide such a wonderful space for our stay and my opportunity to ask my gf now fiancé to marry me!!! She said YES!!! Thank you again it was beautiful and spotless!!!

Disappointing

We were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness at this property even though the property manager said it had just been cleaned before we arrived. We believe this to be true as there was a puddle of cleaning solution on the floor. Kitchen utensils on the counter were dusty, the microwave was dirty and had to be cleaned before using, window sills and baseboards were dirty, shower/tub was filthy. No screens in the windows so windows had to stayed closed which was a concern since the house smelled very musty, especially the main room. We did not use the downstairs, but it seemed better than the upstairs. Windows could also use a good washing. This could be a decent property with a thorough cleaning. The bedding and towels were clean, there were plenty of dishes, kitchen utensils etc. It was not clear to us that a hotspot would be required to use the SmartTV/Internet. Property was in a quiet setting about 15 minutes out of town. Beautiful area.
