Wonderful Anniversary Getaway

We wanted a quick weekend getaway for our anniversary and were so glad that we picked this lakeside escape. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. The treetop view from the deck is incredible and provided a beautiful backdrop for relaxation. Our host provided everything we needed and more. My only regret is that we didn't book an additional day!

Amazing Place to Stay

The host Keith was very nice and explained everything very well!! They had extra wood for the fire pit and really had everything we needed from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The view from the deck itself was gorgeous and watching the sunrise/sunset is a must.

Great Retreat!!!

Cozy Cabin Comfortable Home Vacation

The overall experience was very nice, comfortable, clean. The home had a really nice cabin rustic mixed with a slightly modern touch to it with great amenities such as a fire pit and hot tub. The view on the balcony is awesome and the area is calming and quiet. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Christmas getaway

A wonderful retreat!

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding. We needed home base to just sleep. Wish we could have enjoyed longer! The view, the deck, the owners retreat upstairs- just a 10+++! Owner communication was fast and informative. Highly recommend!!

Quiet, peaceful and beautiful place for a friends weekend

Wonderful spot. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful deck overlooking Lake Whitney in the distance great for late night stargazing and early morning sunrise.. Fire pits. Very relaxing and peaceful. Host very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again. Nothing is close by so truly for those who intend to get away from it all. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic views

Couldn’t have chosen a better place in The Canyons. The home had everything our family needed including the most well stocked kitchen of any previously homes we’ve stayed. Very accommodating and well furnished. Would definitely love to stay there again and truly relax and enjoy the views.

Perfect stay

Keith was perfect host. House is very well stocked with everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. View is amazing. 10/10 on stay. Nothing to improve. 6 adults, a toddler and dog.

Open family room with a beautiful view!

We enjoyed our time at the house. We were there for a family wedding at Lake Whitney. It is a beautiful, quiet, and off the beaten path. We wished we had more time to relax. Communication was excellent!

Perfect Getaway!

We have stayed here before and loved it again. The home is perfect and has all the amenities you could need. The location is so peaceful and quiet and the house has been virtually spotless on our visits. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of extra utensils and spices, plus has every size of pot and pan you could need. The owner is great and also provided plenty of firewood for a couple nights hanging out by the fire. We have stayed at a ton of vacation homes and this is our absolute favorite in the north Texas area!

Amazing stay!

We had such a wonderful time! The property was great - even better than the pictures. Keith (owner) mentioned that we only needed to bring food and drink, and that was true; everything else was provided, e.g., well-stocked kitchen items, soap, shampoo, paper products, etc. We had a very restful time, relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub. Arrival and departure were so simple. We have already recommended this property to friends.

Beautiful location and views! Awesome cabin!

The property is ideally located on a hill with great views of the valley and lake. Perfect location for a quiet getaway amongst nature. The cabin is perfect: amenities, rooms, layout, hot tub - it has it all! Great fireplace and awesome patio with views and a wonderful fire pit outside. Owner is extremely easy to work with and goes out of the way to make your stay special. Great location in the country but close enough to Clifton and Meridian. A property definitely worth going back to.

Secluded Getaway

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this house! The surroundings are wonderful. It was a beautiful time of year, and the view was gorgeous with some of the leaves changing color. Even though it rained off and on while we were there, we couldn't have been in a more beautiful place. We enjoyed the openness and outdoor feeling of the cabin. Keith is great to work with and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and stress free.

Wonderful weekend with a beautiful view

Wanted to find a special place for our family to get together, with our Baylor daughter on homecoming weekend. This was perfect! With the outdoor living areas with fire pits and the hot tub, we were able to see views that were mind blowing. Treetops framing the lake below, with the fresh air of nature, during the day. At night, even with the fire pits blazing, we could see so many stars! It was serene and gave us all such joy. Fully stocked kitchen, tons of towels and blankets...the most comfortable beds and a superb grill. We felt at home and hope to return, again.

Deck and Cabin are Perfection!!

We loved every inch of this cabin!! The beautiful windows that bring the outside inside! The deck that was built up to the very edge of the lot giving you the feeling of being in the trees! The fact that you feel like you are the only one in the area. This house is laid out so well and with such good taste. It is a very special place to visit! We watched storms roll by, saw all types of birds in flight, enjoyed time in the hot tub. Everything is well thought out! A real treat to be able to rent this place!!

Lake Whitney Get-a-way

My wife and I stayed at this property in Aug 2019. The property is very secluded and well off the beaten path but that is exactly what we were looking for. The host was extremely accommodating and even messaged to let us know it was ok to check in early. He also messaged to make sure we found the home without problems. The features of the home are very unique but also very comfortable. There are large windows all around the house that grant amazing views. The drive into town was not particularly quick but we knew that before hand. It gave us the chance to see the countryside and enjoy the drive. I don’t think we ever paid much attention to the time but probably 20 minutes to town with restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the property and would be happy to stay there again in the future.
