Situated in the Ara del Mar community within the gated Los Delfines Golf Club, this fully equipped villa will provide you, your family and friends with the perfect getaway location in friendly Costa Rica! Bring home a Red Snapper and shrimp from the Pescadaria and have a feast that you will never forget! Or eat out every night at local restaurants or the Rancho at the beach. Go zip-lining, hiking, waterfall touring, surfing, horseback riding, deep sea fishing or ATVing - there are many excursions to choose from.

This beautiful villa has air conditioning on the ground floor, three air-conditioned bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, including a 3 piece ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom. The master (Queen Bed) also has a walk-through closet with lots of storage and hanging space for clothes and suitcases. Bedroom #2 (Double Bed) also has storage and hanging space. Bedroom #3 (Double Bottom and Twin Top Bunk Bed) has rolling containers under the bed. All bedrooms and living room windows have vertical blinds. The modern kitchen with granite island and 3 stools boasts the latest appliances and cookware for the gourmet chef. Stove/oven, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, kettle, pots and pans, utensils, plates and bowls, cups and glasses for 6 people. Flooring is a glossy porcelain tile throughout to help keep the villa cool. The kitchen and bathrooms countertops are beautiful granite. The laundry room is outside under the stairs with easy exterior access to eliminate noise and heat from the villa. Double sliding patio doors off the kitchen and living room, along with huge windows in each bedroom and the stairwell allow for lots of natural light during the day. The rear patio has been enlarged to 10 feet deep and a ceiling fan has been added. The private outdoor pool will be waiting for your arrival. You will find that when you are at the villa, you spend most of your time outdoors in and around the pool. Hedges (Limoncillo) have been planted to line the sides and back of each property and grow up to 8 feet, providing "living" fences. Two Red Palm trees and three trees (lime, orange and avocado) have been planted in the back yard.

Once again we had a wonderful stay at this villa in Los Delphines. It has a very well equipped kitchen , comfortable patio furniture and table and chairs outside which we used for almost every meal. The bedrooms are comfortable and lots of sheets, towels and beach towels. The stunning, long beach is just a short walk and there are beach chairs at the villa. The area is a paradise for nature lovers and those who appreciate tranquility however there is lots to do, see and explore as well . Our family went fishing and saw whales, dolphins and turtles while catching our dinner . Horse back riding is a/v at the beach and through the surrounding farms and forests.We hope to return again soon.

Escaping winter in Costa Rica

We enjoyed our 5 weeks at this house in Tambor. The kitchen has every appliance needed and the house was very functional. The property manager Joseph response to our few needs in less than an hour. Lovely beach and friendly environment.

Great Place to Stay

This the 3rd time we have stayed at this villa. The villa was excellent for our family who visited at different times over the 3 months. Great neighbors over this time and the Los Delfines area offers lots of great choices for activities. There is a lot of development occurring so construction activity is constant. On-site dining is limited to El Rancho which is good and very amenable for owners and guests. Property management is professional and timely with responsive to any questions or issues within their control.

Amazing stay in Tambor Beach

My mother and I had an incredible stay at this property located within the beautiful Los Delfines Golf & Country Club. We loved having our own private pool just steps from the patio. The pool was kept as clean as the rest of the villa and made for a relaxing time when we were not driving to the nearby beaches. The beach located inside the community was clean and nice as well as the Restaurant, making it very convenient when we did not feel like going far! Communication was easy and quick. Everyone inside the community was so pleasant and friendly and we felt so safe and content the entire stay!! Thank you so much for having us, we will be back :D

Return to our favorite vacation place

We returned to the Los Delfines Golf & Country Club after 2+ years absence due to COVID. I am a member of this excellent 9 hole golf course and played 18 holes 3x a week. This was our first stay in the Ara Del Mar villas after several stays in the older area. We were pleased with the lay-out and amenities in this villa and have a return booking for December. This villa had good kitchen facilities since on site dining is limited to the Rancho on the beach open Thursday - Sunday. The beach is excellent for "hanging out", walking and activities such as beach volleyball. We are familiar with this area and have friends that we visited in Los Delfines and the Tambor area. We booked for this time because it is when the weather turns from Summer "hot" to more rain and the area becomes "green".

Very nice and secure area to stay 10 minute walk to beach...

The Villa is well equipped with everything you need to cook and prepare meals, the bedrooms are nice and comfortable, the only issues we had was with the AC units freezing up but I just removed filters and cleaned them up and then they worked great there after also the locks on the patio doors are terrible so I just found some pieces of wood to secure the doors worked great then we did not have to deal with those patio locks...Pool was kept clean the only thing that would be nice is if there was patio stones leading to the pool so you don't track grass into the pool and into the Villa. Overall it was a great place to stay. Thank you.

The home of the Scarlet Macaws

Absolutely breathtaking to watch them fly everyday! Perfect location right by Tambor airstrip, the little house had everything we needed and a cute little pool. Visit Curu, hike and beach. Visit Montazuma and climb to the falls. Nature lovers this is a good base!

Great house with lovely yard!

Our family of 4 adults really enjoyed our stay at this charming house in Delfines. The floor plan is wonderful with 3 bedroom upstairs and the main living down. The a/c functions well, the private yard has a cute pool, and the property manager is very responsive to any questions. Delfines is has a fantastic beach that is nearly deserted - wonderful for swimming or long strolls on the sand. The wildlife is awesome - make sure to take a stroll along the golf course at sunset to see the macaws returning to their homes for the night. Overall a great vacation. Thanks! :) Lisa

Great place and for us the birding and wildlife sighting was great as well. We visited Curu as well as Cabo Blanco and the local beach. Getting up at 5:30 am to see the monkeys recommended!

Our winter escape in Tambor

We had a wonderful experience at our recent VRBO in Tambor. The house was well maintained and more than adequate with a modern kitchen,appliances and lots of bedding and towels. It was an easy 10 min. walk to the beautiful, quiet beach. We could pick up groceries etc on sight and there is good shopping in Cobano a 20 min. drive way.Its a very quiet area which was perfect for us as we enjoyed the birds, monkeys, walking the beach etc. There is a wonderful fruit and vegetable market in Tambor every Sat where you can also buy fresh fish and a grocery store that is open every day.. Any little repairs or needs were handled immediately by Joseph, our contact at Los Delphines .He also met us with the key endgame us a tour when we arrived. We did hand a small clothes line outside so we weren't hanging wet towels, bathing suits in the house. All in all , we had a great holiday in Costa Rica.

The villa was everything that we expected. It was beautiful inside, but we spent most of our time outside by the pool when not at the golf tournament. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The AC in the bedrooms was perfect for a good night's sleep. Bathrooms are very modern and functional. The glossy porcelin tiles throughout the villa was very stylish and helped to keep it cooler inside. We would highly recommend this villa and will definitely stay next time we come back.

We are Ian and Stevie Folkes from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. In addition to this villa, we also own and manage several rental properties (including a cottage) in Ontario, Canada, so we have experience keeping our tenants happy. We hope that your first stay will lead to another, then another. It really is that good in Costa Rica.

We plan to visit a couple of times a year and arrange some enhancements while we are there, including additional landscaping front and back. So far we have added two beautiful Red Palm trees in the back yard as well as a lime tree, orange tree and avacado tree. The three trees should provide fruit but no promises! The patio has been enlarged, with lights and a fan added. A walkway has been installed from the patio to the pool.

Why they chose this property

For a few years, we researched Caribbean and South American vacation properties in Mexico, Ecuador, Panama, etc. but didn't find the "perfect" place. We had been to Florida many times over the years with our children but didn't feel like it was for us any more. Then we came across a booth at the Toronto Home Show that was selling Villas in Costa Rica. A couple of months later we visited the Los Delfines Community and the building site. We fell in love with everything about CR. The food, the beaches, the people, the monkeys, the short 5 hour direct flight and the opportunity to be in a wonderful place whenever we choose. It really is Pura Vida (pure life)!

We watched our villa being built over a year and a half via construction updates on the internet and waited for our chance to go and see it. That happened in August 2016 and we absolutely felt at home in the Villa. It's everything that we, and you, will need for a relaxing vacation at a home away from home.

The name Casa Estrella (Star House) was chosen as we found that the stars are clear and bright during Costa Rica nights, especially from the pool.
