The Nifty Fifties was an apt description! Very cute decor. The house was clean, welcoming, and beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive with communication and other than an issue with an air mattress we had a great stay! The location was perfect for our visit. It is a nice, quiet neighborhood. Great attention to detail, true to the 50s

We thoroughly enjoy the character of this home and how peaceful the location is. The wooded view from the corner windows in the living room is special.

Such a cute house!

Our family of 5 stayed here 2 nights. The house is so cute! My kids loved learning how to use a rotary phone. Ha! Communication from Kathleen was great. The house was in a safe location and very clean. A wonderful stay. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Nifty Fifties is an absolute delight!

You will be so impressed with your stay at Kathleen’s lovely property. The decor is to die for, and the amenities are plentiful. The location is so quiet that the singing of the birds in the morning may be the only noise you hear! If you’re lucky, you may spot a deer or other wildlife outside of the large, enchanting living room windows and feel like you’re in a Disney movie. Check-in is simple and effective, and the host makes communication simple. You’re within just minutes of any Cedar Rapids attraction. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and you shouldn’t either. Thank you!

What a great find. As soon as my family and I walked in, we felt at home. The vibe was awesome.The neighborhood was quiet abd peaceful. It was like stepping back in time. we even had 3 deer stroll across the yard one evening.It was super clean. The beds were reaĺly comfortable. The hostess, Kathleen, even had complimentary fun snacks and wine set out for us to enjoy It was fun looking around and seeing many of the things from the 'old days': various salt and pepper shakers, Betty Crocker cook book, a dial telephone and the list goes on. Every room you go into has something that'll make you smile. Even the downstairs area was outstanding outstanding with its bar and lounge area.If you're in the Cedar Rapids area and are looking for a place to stay, this is it. You won't regret it
