Stayed over Labor Day weekend for a Hawk game at Kinnick. Plenty of room for the entire family to spread out. There was an Excessive Heat Warning issued by the National Weather Service during our stay and the A/C worked without issue. What a relief after spending the afternoon baking in the sun. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint: there wasn’t any ground coffee available. We left our coffee behind for the next guests enjoy.

Sometimes there’s coffee and sometimes not Dave and I’m glad you left some for the next guests! Thank you! Same with the charcoal too. Please come again!

Lisa was super helpful with all my questions. The cabin is cute, clean and perfect for our needs. Loved staying there and hope to visit again when we can enjoy it more. Booked to stay at the weekend of my sons wedding.

This is a great property. The cabin was clean and orderly. We had 8 adults and 2 children, and we all slept comfortably on the beds and futons. The kitchen needs a few updates in regards to cookware and utensils to prepare food (very dull knives). The downstairs bathroom and upstairs had some water issues, but Lisa had a plumber out the next day (unfortunately, they couldn't fix it at that time, but we survived).Lisa was great to communicate with. She responded fairly quickly and was always helpful.Overall, we had a great time at this location. (It rained a lot during our stay, but that cannot be helped.) You can walk to Lake MacBride from the cabin and enjoy the views there. We hiked the beach to dam trail (easy 1 mile). We also visited Wilson's Orchard and loved the farmyard playground. Thanks Lisa!

We enjoyed this cozy, rustic cabin for our winter crafting retreat. We loved the warm fire in the wood stove to take the chill of the late winter weather. The kitchen was well equipped and nice and clean, and we prepared most of our meals there, though we enjoyed visiting a couple of excellent restaurants in town as well. We loved that we could bring our pets, and we took many long walks with them in the Lake MacBride State Park, a stone's throw from the cabin. There were three couples and it was nice having three separate bedrooms and bathrooms.

I grew up in Iowa near here and enjoyed the family picnics at the state park. My extended family is still in the area! We now live in downtown Chicago, and this retreat is a great escape from our hectic lives.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

My family has been enjoying Lake MacBride since it first opened. My grandmother told me about her experiences growing up and enjoying the lake so she made sure to bring her children. My mother has great stories of Lake MacBride and the Coralville Reservoir and she made sure to bring me and my brothers! Now a fourth generation, my own daughters, are growing up with peace and tranquility because of this fabulous property.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We are next to cross-country ski and snowmobile trails!
