The cabin was perfect for our vacation. The porch has a stunning view of the mountains and we were able to enjoy views of the stars while sitting in the hot tub, which was a definite bonus. Waking up with a gorgeous view of the mountains was so relaxing and everything we needed was provided. It is located close to restaurants and there are many hiking areas within a short drive. We would definitely stay there again.

Truly a one-of-a-kind mountainside gem! Fantastic view of valley and mountains beyond. Nice hot tub for 2. Nice comfortable bed. Well equipped. No Keurig, regular Mr. Coffee worked fine.

Amazing view of the mountains. Everything needed for your stay is provided including bedding, TP, and dishes etc. Parking is limited due to the area you are staying in. Host escorts you to the property, which is extremely helpful the first time, as it is litterally in the mountains. Very peaceful and private.

View was marvelous. The cabin does need some TLC and in need of a deep clean to include windows! Was happy to comply with check out details; however found it difficult to understand that towels only get a cold water wash!! Having to meet the owner for entry seemed unnecessary, clear and labeled instructions on disposing of garbage would have been sufficient. Parking on the narrow country lane if you have a large car could be problematic.

We loved our stay especially the view. Sitting on porch/hot tub was magical. Good location for supplies. Very clean, well equipped. Super host.Suggestions: cabin needs some definite freshening of furnishings. LR comfortable but coffee table/lamp obviously thrift store. BR needs full redo-very dark, tables chipped, lamps old with stained shades, close to needing new mattress (kind of sinks in center). Bed linens dark, dated. Bed from thrift store. All pictures throughout cabin need replaced except historic pic of cabin. Maybe a pretty centerpiece on table. Just needs brightening. Put in sturdy slider screens. Would appreciate foot rests with already very comfortable chrs on porch. Table w/umbrella on porch worked out well. Flower pots at entry needed to be lush/inviting. They just need consistent/good watering.Rick was a great host before/during our stay. In general it’s a lovely cabin just needs freshened.

Rick was very friendly and informative and met us close to the cabin so we could follow him there and he could show us around. This cabin is hands down one of the best views you’ll find! The view was amazing, it’s a private and quiet location not far from food and a cute general store, coffee shop/bookstore and only an hour from grandfather mountain and other attractions. We spent our honeymoon here and loved every second of it, and absolutely plan to be back!

Cabin and property was in a very beautiful location with stunning mountain views. Convenient to restaurants and shops. The host was very nice and made sure we had all the information we needed. Hot tub was well maintained. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Will definitely rent this one again in the future.

Great getaway

Rick's cabin was a great spot to get away for the weekend. Little Switzerland is a quaint town that had everything you needed but still felt secluded.

Great Cabin

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Perch. The cabin itself is so quaint and cozy. It was perfect for a winter getaway. The views from the cabin are breathtaking! We loved enjoying the hot tub at night while overlooking the city lights in the distance.
