Very small. Hardly room for luggage in rooms. Better for just a couple. Not super clean. Needs a thorough cleaning. And sprayed for insects. Description of outdoor firepit was not accurate. Could not sit around it. It was just an ok spot. It was close to Bar Harbor, which was convenient.

Very pleased!

The cabin's location was secluded, had a good view of the sunset, and the deck was great for our morning tea and reflection time. The cabin was small, but cozy and comfortable. While we never used the WiFi, our smartphones were able to make connections when needed. The location was minutes away from Bar Harbor and Acadia, but secluded and off the beaten track. Our son liked the limited time we allowed him at the end of the day on TV or watching NetFlex. We would seriously consider it as an option if we returned to the area!

Quiet cottage near everything.

This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure.

Overall it is a good cabin. Could use a deep cleaning. Surface cleaned . ALSO too much furniture in living room area. LOVED PORCH AREA. SAW Beautiful susets every night.

Great location

This is a small, bare bones cabin in a great location. Lots of fans and blankets and access to laundry was great. Downside: a LOT of furniture in this cabin, including a big couch across the fireplace. Hard to move around and next to impossible to make a fire. But beautiful view and convenient to hikes and Bar Harbor.

Small Cabin

Overall the cabin was a bit outdated, but fit our needs as a family of four to stay close by Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, it's within ten minutes of a short drive depending on traffic and what parts of the park you are visiting. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was snug, and kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans utensils to cook meals. My favorite part of the cabin was definitely the view I enjoyed having meals at the kitchen table and looking out the large picture window at the outline of the mountains. Very peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay again if visiting Acadia.

No recycling, very short beds, too small for 5 people to be comfortable, 2 burners on the stove did not work and haven't for years, no trail on the hill as was claimed on site. Beautiful location but it is very clear the owners have no interest in the upkeep.

Not worth the money

The house was not well cleaned inside. Only 2 burners on the cooktop work. The communication with the company needs alot of work. Better knowledge of when things will be fixed is a must and communicated to the renter.

This place needs some major upkeep and a very deep cleaning! This place very run down, cobwebs very out in the open including light fixture in bathroom, ants and spiders everywhere, and the floors are beyond filthy under beds, furniture, and tables. The one only really good thing we all agreed on is it has a GREAT location to everything!!! This made this place bareable. I honestly don't see paying the amount they are asking during prime time J (July August). You can do way better with your money elsewhere.

Great Location, Well Provisioned, Needs Some Attention

Overall, we had a good stay at the cabin. It is a great location - close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Both are just minutes down the road! So that was wonderful! Turn right out of the road and it is a straight drive to the park and Bar Harbor! The location was quiet and restful with a nice view, and the beds were comfortable - so we slept well every night. I really appreciated that the house was well stocked with everything that we needed. There was an abundance of towels, sheets, and basics in the house. Having access to a washer and dryer was also was very nice. So there were many positives to our stay. On the other hand, the cabin needs some basic maintenance. A deep cleaning and some paint (inside and out) would help the overall appearance of the cabin. There were gaps in the flooring, so the cabin just had a tired feeling. It didn't interfere with our stay but would help the overall feel of the cabin. However, there does need to be some weed eating done around the cabin and better lighting on the side of the cabin where you walk from the car to the deck. We walked in late one evening and a copperhead was curled up next to the steps where some weeds were growing at the side of the cabin. Fortunately, I had a flashlight, otherwise, I would have stepped on the snake. There was no grill at the cabin as stated in the title. The firepit is down from the house on a rock that slopes, and no seating around it, so it was basically unusable. The rockers on the porch were too big to take around the firepit. That was a disappointment because I was hoping to use the firepit while we were there. Overall, it was a good place to stay due to the location and the restful quiet of the area. The cabin was well-stocked and had everything we needed.

Location was great, but there was a real issue with cleanliness. On the first night of stay, the shower drain was so clogged that the water got ankle deep before the water warmed up. Thankfully there was only the two of us as there was no where to put our luggage other than the second bedroom. Cobb webs everywhere. The shower curtain was covered in mold. Overall, if they actually deep cleaned the place between customers my review would be much higher.

Stone Haven stay

Stone Haven has a great location, near Acadia National Park. We were able to easily access the park when we wanted to. Having laundry near by was great as well, but they don't tell you where to find it, you have to call. We were only given a partial roll of toilet paper with no additional rolls for 6 nights. We were told that once the initial supply was used, we could not have more. Thankfully after going back and forth with the property managers, we were given 2 more rolls. The property advertises a grill, but there is no grill to use. The fire pit was very nice to have, but it's on an angle so you couldn't really set up chairs around it. We found spider webs and a lot of dust around the kitchen table and on the floors around the bed. Overall this property could use some better cleaning and set-up.
