Dana made the whole process very easy. The house was so inviting we were hard pressed to visit the local sights.. Perfect location close to all the expected OBX excursions but so relaxing to come home to. Plenty to do if you never left the house. I would definitely go again

Dana was awesome to work with and communicate with! Any question we had about the property, weather before getting there, were answered immediately!! House was in a great place. We had fishing every night, kayaks to use and a nice big table to eat and play cards!

House was just what we needed. Perfect place for paddle boarding and swimming. Host was very personable and responsive to any concerns or questions we had. Home is pretty roomy and has lovely views of water on the sound! House was perfect size for our family of 3! House had pretty much all the amenities we needed for out stay! Quiet little neighborhood as well!

Our stay was wonderful! Very quiet spot on the water. Very serene! The home was lovely and had all the little touches! We didn’t get the kayaks on the water, but it was nice knowing they were made available to the guests. Dana provided for our needs and then some! It was nice having a Food Lion close by. We drove the distance to Duck and to Wanchese every day for fishing and restaurants. Did some cooking at the home too with the equipment provided at the property for seafood. Highly recommend.

Great location to relax

Only stayed a couple of nights, but it made a perfect base camp for exploring the outer banks. The host was very helpful and the house had so many fun things to do.

We had a great stay at the Grandy cottage. It was our first trip to OBX. We did ALOT in the 5 days/nights. I think we were lucky that is was "off season" because we didnt get stuck in too mich traffic, but it was a bit of a drive to anywhere we actually wanted to check out. This is no fault of the owner of the property, and we knew that well ahead and when booking! However it is something to be aware of when booking, depending where you might want to visit.We drove 1hr away almost every day. We got to visit Duck, Corolla, Wright Brothers, and Romanthe area. So much fun! The neighborhood itself was meh. I did not expect the cottage to be right next to two dumpy trailers. Granted they did not seem occupied, but they do sort of take away from the vibe of the other nicer houses/cottages right there. It felt safe enough and it wasnt a problem or anything. It just kind of took away from the overall feeling if the neighborhood and area. When you are paying premium prices similar to Duck prices right on the beach....not sure you would expect that. I hadn't seen that mentioned on any of the other reviews...I loved paddleboarding on the sound in the mornings, before my kids woke up. The neighborhood heron loves the small kyak dock area by the cottage and we had frequent sightings of it. The sunrise/sunsets were pretty.The cottage itself was very clean and very well detailed/themed. We didnt cook at all, but it seemed to have all the things. All in all, 5 starts from us! Thanks

Wonderful beach cottage!

Neat and clean, cute beachy decor, fantastic views. Lots of nice extras supplied by owners (condiments, cleaning and laundry supplies, paper plates, bottled water etc). Very responsive hosts. Highly recommend!

Such a cute little place. Decor and touches within the home show the owners passion to make guests feel special. Not as secluded as I envisioned but was a quiet stay which we appreciated. The owners providing paddle boards and kayaks is such a bonus! It was my favorite part!
