Exactly what we were looking for!

The unit itself was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. It was well stocked with basic toiletries, dishes, Tide pods, boogie board, beach chairs, and a cooler. The fridge had a water filter and ice maker which was great for filling water bottles for a day of adventuring. The pool was close to the unit and heated so that you could enjoy a late evening swim well after the sun went down. We would definitely stay here again.

Week in Poipu

Clean, well stocked, comfortable condo. Plenty of parking and easy access from parking lot to door. Location is close to beach, shopping and restaurants. This is a ground unit with a unit above. In our case we unfortunately had a noisy family above us with no concept of quiet hours. We also had grounds patrol leave notes on our door every morning telling us to keep our sliding doors and windows locked at night. Complying with this request would have made it uncomfortable to sleep. Overall great place and we would stay here again.

Great location, our unit had perfect view and many items for our outings ie. cooler, chairs, snorkel gear. Kitchen well stocked , it would have been nice to have plastic baggies , foil and few more spices (minor). Perfect location to sight see being central. Loved all the books helping us with our adventures! Only downfalls microwave door quite difficult to open, instructions for tv remote would be good for us not techy people (LOL) and a second air-conditioning unit would have been nice.

Beautiful view and well cared for

The property was perfect for 4 adults. Being on the ground floor was helpful as we travelled with my parents. You also get to walk out of your lanai onto the grass, so you feel like you have more room to spread out than you would on a balcony. There’s an ocean view from the lanai and the dining room. It’s a quick walk to the pool from the lanai, and you have access to the path that runs to both Shipwrecks and Poipu beach. We woke early each day and enjoyed a brisk walk before starting our day. The condo was clean and well appointed. This unit had the best assortment of beach toys/chairs/umbrellas/coolers out of any place we’ve stayed in Hawaii! We found the beds to be comfortable, ample pots, pans, dishes,etc. There is a shopping center close by that has a Longs and the most expensive natural foods store I’ve ever seen. The rental agency was wonderful to work with and treated us well at every encounter. We had a lovely visit and felt comfortable and at home in this unit. I really hope to get another opportunity to stay there!

Smooth Running Kauai

Poipu Sands is a short walk from the south shore of Kauai. Watching sunrise became a morning ritual. Shipwreck and Poipu beaches are both within walking distance. The excellent accommodation worked very well for two couples. The pool and BBQ area are great features of the property. The green turtles were taking a break on Poipu beach during our stay. We’re looking forward to our next visit and staying at Poipu Sands.

Great ground floor condo makes it easy to walk on the beach or go to the pool.

We loved this condo! It’s in excellent condition and location couldn’t be better. So easy to get to everything and we enjoyed the nearby pool and Shipwrecked Beach very much.

Nice location. Needs attention.

Nice location - walk to beach. Had several things that needed repair. TV kept going off. We were told it needed new cable box. Broken shelf in frig. Coffee pot was defective & leaked. Shower curtains would not stay in place. Master bath tub was extremely slick even after being being cleaned. Needed non skid surface. We have rented in Poipu since 1990. This condo had the most Items needing attention. It was also extremely humid. This is rare in Kauai. There is no AC in the condo- ceiling fans were on all the time.

Aloha Jeanne, we are sorry for any inconvenience that you experienced. Spectrum has been upgrading their systems and we have had problems with the new boxes. Luckily it seems that was the last day of your stay. I see we responded as quickly as we could to fix the shower curtain and the new shelf for the frig has been ordered. Unfortunately, it is not a rarity that it gets humid on Kauai, but it is more apparent when the trades stop. Please note that we have many properties with AC should that be a requirement in the future. Mahalo.

Nice place, enjoyed our stay

Spent 5 nights in this unit. At first I was a little miffed that there was no A/C, my fault for not reading descriptions well enough. The web site warns that many units do not have A/C and this is one of them. Having said that once we got accustomed to the humidity it wasn't too bad. We could see and hear the ocean which was nice at night while sleeping. Good location, lots to see and do in the area. One complaint is that the stove in the kitchen is a glass stove top, which I hate with a passion, but the worst part is there is no markings on the dials, and it is extremely complicated to figure out what setting the burners are set at. It took lots of trial and error, and a boiled over Hollandaise sauce to get the right settings. They really need a manual or some instructions on that stove.

Relaxing Kauai location

This unit was nice and reasonably spacious. Opening up directly to the lawn with a lovely view made it a great place to just sit and relax. We had a 92 year old and an 18 year old with us and there was plenty of room in the condo and things to do, so that everyone felt comfortable. The internet was not the best, but we are picky about that. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, but no other extras (such as tin foil, plastic wrap, napkins) other than some seasonings. We would go back.

Great location, easy access to beach

We really enjoyed our stay here for our honeymoon. The location was perfect. It was really nice to fall asleep listening to the ocean waves. The beach is a quick walk down the walk way, and you can just sit on the patio and enjoy the beach view, too. The location was nice - Poipu is a quaint area. We were able to easily travel to do everything we wanted to on the island! We will come back some day!
