Location was great, very clean property, we were not prepared for all the parking situations we encountered during our stay, as we've never visited Scotland before. We were not aware we needed to literally budget over 100 pounds for street or garage parking.Also we were not aware we needed to provide garbage bags or napkins.

OMG! This rental exceeded our expectations! What a gorgeous, luxurious home for our time in Edinburgh. It was wonderful to have your own bathroom with each bedroom. And the kitchen with its amazing table was a place to gather each morning and evening. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for any group that is 8 people! It's an easy walk from the main train station and a 15 minute walk to the hop on/off buses (definitely take the green bus!) Also, the Calton Hill Cafe is a 10 minute walk (book a table... great view).This rental made our time in Edinburgh extra special. It's close enough to everything while being on a quiet street.

This home was perfection! Large enough and kitchen design allowed for all of us to gather, feast and celebrate the upcoming wedding of our son and daughter in law. All our guest we pleased with the accommodations and location. If and when we travel back to Edinburgh as a family, we would love to book again! Thank You.

This is an amazingly beautiful house and very comfortable. Great location. The host was attentive and responsive to all our requests. The nicest place I have stayed with vrbo. It is nicer than the pictures!

Memorial golf trip in Scotland, honoring my father.

The lodging was at least as nice as advertised. Location was excellent in city center would definitely consider it again if I were traveling with a group requiring that many bedrooms and staying in Edinburgh.

The property was perfect for our Hogmanay 2025 stay that included parents, 3 children and their spouses and a baby. Design and function were thoughtfully done and everything was in working order. Playing games in the evening by the fire and breakfasts around the big kitchen table were big hits. Jane is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Perfect place for our family

We were traveling with extended family and for all nine of us this was a terrific place to stay. The house was roomy and well appointed. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of major attractions.

A great place for family

We very much enjoyed our stay at Top Hat House. We were a family of 6 adults (3 couples) and one toddler, and the house was perfect for our needs. The layout is excellent, it is well-appointed, and it's in a great location for accessible sight-seeing but is also fairly quiet.

A beautiful well-appointed house in a great location. Easy to walk around the city from here but bus and tram stops very nearby too. The house is gorgeous and felt like home the moment we arrived.

The Top Hat House was great. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Clean, comfortable and well located. Near restaurants. I would gladly stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.

Wonderful townhouse

Incredible House and Location

Pristine house with high ceilings and 5 FULL bedrooms with attached master baths. The walls and doors are thick so you cannot hear the other guests — this was perfect for our group as we were aged 2-78 and everyone was on different sleep schedules. Multiple playgrounds, groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants within close walking distance. 2 minute walk to the airport tram. Perfect place for groups to stay

Harry and Katie’s Wedding

We wanted our family to all be together to celebrate our sons wedding in Scotland. The Top Hat House worked at perfect. Easy walk to center of town the Tram and numerous restaurants. Great place to stay instead of a hotel Room.

Wedding stay

Our family stayed here for our daughters wedding . It was a lovely and spacious home to celebrate the special event. The owner , Jane, was very helpful when we contacted with a couple of queries. Would recommend it for a peaceful and elegant stay in the centre of the city.

Stunning, huge, beautiful home

This house leant a real luxury feel to our stay in Edinburgh. Gorgeously appointed, it easily accommodated my family group of 7. Every bedroom has a large bed and en suite bathroom, and most of the bathrooms had heated floors. Conveniently located within walking distance of the Royal Mile, restaurants, and shopping. Loved it.
