Great place to stay with your family
Pros-
• Located near everything you need (stores, food, attractions, etc.)
• Fully stocked house (cooking equipment, laundry facilities, pantry, linens/towels, etc.)
• The views from the front porch are stunning
• Jacuzzi tub in master bathroom
• Water gets really hot
• Fire pit area with firewood in front yard (perfect for the s'mores kit the hosts left for us)
• Pet friendly property
• Mostly original renovated home- very well done
• Amazon Echo Dots throughout the house for music and entertainment
• Very detailed and easy check-in process
• There isn't an insanely long cleanup list like some vacation home rental properties have while still charging a cleaning fee. They only ask for the beds to be stripped and any towels that were used to be left on the beds with the linens. Makes you feel like going above and beyond since they don't ask for much upon checkout.
Cons-
• If visiting in the hotter months, the a/c doesn't really reach the master retreat. However, there is a portable a/c unit that you can set up in the room if you'd like
• The main bathroom in the hallway has poor water pressure and is also a clawfoot tub, so the shower curtain wraps around the whole thing and can limit your space while taking a shower. And the shower head is rather low.
• There is a two-story rear apartment attached to the house behind the master retreat (not directly over the master retreat, no access to the main house) and you can hear the residents footsteps thumping back and forth
