Welcome to Happy River Cottage!
Find serenity on the river in this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome in Estes Park. This magical cottage is the perfect getaway located in a peaceful setting, on the Big Thompson river, surrounded by Spruce and Aspen trees and filled with wildlife stopping by to drink from the happy river. Pass the time by relaxing on the porch, making s’mores on the fire pit, and enjoying lunch at your own picnic area. There are river views from nearly every room in the house. Open the windows and let the rolling river lull you to sleep. Happy River Cottage features a washer and dryer, free TV, and WiFi and local calls.
Blue Spruce Village is located 2 miles from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and just a few minutes from charming downtown Estes Park.

Fabulous Fall Getaway!

We have been visiting Estes Park for almost 20 years and this is one of our most favorite properties; very well maintained and decorated, great location right on the Big Thompson river...nothing better than cool mountain air and the sound of the river outside of you open windows! Thanks for sharing this wonderful property!

Great cabin, great location to RMNP and Estes Park!

The porch area that backs up to the Big Thompson River is amazing! Grocery store and gas 5 minutes away, quiet neighborhood!

Perfect little getaway

Beautiful cabin! We had all the amenities we needed for our weekend stay. The weather wasn’t very cooperative but we made the best of our time there. Can’t wait to visit again!

Perfect little cabin!

We loved our stay! The view was beautiful, the cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed! Perfect spot not too far from town and close to the local grocery store! We will definitely visit again!!

Cozy and Scenic

Perfect for two couples to catch up and relax by the gorgeous river. Both bedrooms are great. Close to town and the nat’l park. Elk came right through the neighborhood!

Amazing River Cottage!

We loved our stay! The place was clean and kept up well. Had the windows open at night to sleep to the sounds of the river. The place was decorated very nicely and the cabin vibes made you right at home. The hosts were very responsive when we had questions. Bonus sightings of bears running through the backyard and a lynx and her baby hanging out on the other side of the river. Highly recommend!

Great Cottage!

We had a terrific week! Such a charming cottage in an ideal location. We loved the easy access to RMNP and Estes, but also so relaxing sitting by the river on the porch. We hope to return to Happy River Cottage!!!

Perfect Vacation Home

Our family loved our 2 night stay and wish we could have extended our time. Everything was beautiful and cozy. We loved the porch with the river flowing. Our kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows and playing family games. It was the perfect stay in Estes and we hope to return!

Amazing stay in Estes Park

I am so happy we chose to stay in this cottage! The location was great. The river is right outside the back deck and the sound of the water was such a beautiful soothing background while sitting on the deck and while sleeping at night. The furnishings and the bed were very comfy! Definitely a house we would rent again!

Big Thompson River

Beautiful home steps away from the Big Thompson River, wonderful sound to go to sleep to and wake too. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. Minutes from Estes Park and Rocky National Park. Enjoyed our stay very much and will be back for sure.

Absolutely perfect!

Beautiful cabin that could not be beat. Fishing right out the back door and minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. I hope to book again!

Location was great! Close to visitor center and popular hikes. House was comfortable with all amenities with a river flowing in the back. Very quiet neighborhood.

Relaxing

This property is perfectly located! It doesn’t get any better than the river flowing in your backyard! So peaceful and relaxing! It’s decorated very nice and it was very clean! Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Winter Retreat

We really had a great stay in this cabin. It was absolutely perfect for a cozy winter vacation. Beds and couches were super comfy with a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms with everything we needed. The back porch overlooking the river was also something special. Not to mention the hosts were also very responsive. The only downside is we didn’t get to stay longer! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cute cabin in Estes Park. Don’t pass this one up.

A Beautiful Stay By The River!

My husband and I and a close girlfriend stayed for three nights, but wish we could have stayed longer! Your home was so cozy and beautiful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were wonderful as well. We spent lots of time hiking, but also sitting out back by the river. We saw magpies and a hummingbird came very close to my friends face, and it was so funny. Highly recommend this home. Kathy, Tim and Trish.

Great place

Wonderful overall experience. Property was very clean and comfortable — had everything we needed. I asked if they had a blender and was told no, but the owners ordered one and we got it in the middle of our stay. Very nice location—secluded yet close to town and RMNP. Would recommend to anyone and will hope to return one day.

Great Property and Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It has a great location down by the river and Rocky Mountain National Park was just a short drive down the road. Most importantly, the listing was accurate and it may be the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in, which is always the most important factor for us. It was truly spotless. Bottom line: we'll be back to this particular property.

The perfect mountain cottage

This place could not be any more perfect. We were so cozy and had plenty of room for our stay. It is decorated so nicely and stocked with everything you need. The location was great! So close to town and RMNP. We loved everything about Happy River Cottage. Would definitely come back again. Thank you Justin and Natalie- you made us feel like family.
