Time for you...Bali-by-the-Beach is the perfect seaside retreat! Short-term Rental Permit #201382. Home has every comfort and convenience, 2 Master bedrooms, each with its own full bath, Queen bed, and exotic furnishings.

Expansive windows in the Great Room, upstairs, reveal spectacular whitewater ocean views and a vast, luminous sky. Here you'll find lovely living and dining areas, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a half bath, plus a flat screen HD TV with DVR and cable (including HBO, Showtime), and easy access to a sun-drenched deck.

At the end of the day, when you've had your fill of stargazing, slip downstairs and let the waves serenade you to sleep. The ocean's lullaby can be heard from two spacious bedrooms, each one boasting a full bath, Queen bed and exotic furnishings.

Retreat by the Sea

Well appointed home with great decor, comfortable beds, beautiful scenery, awesome stocked kitchen and great views of the sea. Easy checkin and out and great communication .

Beautiful getaway

We had a fabulous time! The location was great and beach despite being a holiday weekend wasn't too over crowded. I looked forward to walking to grab a coffee and strolling by the beach every morning. The house was comfortable and very well stocked with all the things we needed. Many rentals didn't include beach towels and this place had towels and more! Thanks for a great home away from home

Great Location, Great View

The house was wonderful with a great view of the beach and easy walk to the beach side promenade. Enjoyed our brief stay very much, comfortable bedrooms and nice open layout upstairs. We would definitely come again!

Excellent stay

It was a very satisfying experience. Interactions with the host was very professional, everything was easy to find - keys and wi-fi were shared early. The location is fantastic with ocean view balcony with great sunset views.

Great location steps to Rio Del Mar Beach

Just down the hill can enjoy a beautiful beach and a small market, Cafe Rio to open soon and pizza place. Beautiful views from the home. Clean and comfortable - a Bali experience in decor/art.

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary in Aptos because it was where we honeymooned. This wa s definite upgrade to the cabin we first stayed in. Easy walk to the beach, and restaurants. We spent our time just relaxing

Fabulous weekend at Bali by the Beach

We enjoyed a three-night stay over July 4th weekend at this wonderful home a stone's throw from the beach in Rio Del Mar. We loved the Bali vibe and decor, welcome touches provided by Joan, comfy beds, and gorgeous views from the family room and deck! So great to look at the ocean all day and fireworks at night! We will definitely go back and recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful location.

Amazing!

Joan was so thoughtful, my husband and I went to celebrate our 40th anniversary and she had a cake waiting for us. Whimsical, peaceful home that felt like being in a tree house as the top of the beautiful oak trees is the side view, front is the ocean. Easy walk to the beach, and much quieter and peaceful than staying on the beach. Restful, great location, we will be back!!

Great Stay in Bali at the Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Joan's beach house sooooooo much. The weather was beautiful, the beach was empty and the house was cute and comfy. Joan was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would recommend her place to all. The rental experience was easy, Joan was most accomodating and being in Aptos was just the right "taking-it-easy cure." Thanks so much for the hospitality and we look forward to using your place again soon!

beautiful space, and terrific location!

Property was well maintained and well appointed. Joan is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the added goodies for the beach in the garage. The views are spectacular. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back again. Thank you for a relaxing vacation - it was just what I needed!

The property was very nice and Joan was very hospitable. The place was very close to the beach. The only drawback was that the property was located on a very steep hill. There's a nice restaurant and store at the bottom of the hill which is convenient.

Perfect getaway

This is a great house and location. Large bedrooms, each with their own full bath. The entire house was spotless. The provisions are very thoughtful and generous -- plenty of towels, kitchen ware for every need, etc. A real gem.

Well appointed

Comfortable, clean and thoughtful. Awesome Bali theme and artwork. Convenient to Santa Cruz and Monterrey. Excellent nearby grocery store. The street noise was loud at times but quiet at night.

Wonderful home near the beach! We loved our stay here.

Thank you Joan for your wonderful hospitality. Your home was ready for us with homemade cookies and yummy cherries. We felt right at home and was so comfortable. The view of the beach from the patio is gorgeous and it was a nice quick walk down the hill. The road noise is a little loud during the day but at night it's completely quiet. We will come again for sure!!

Beautiful vacation rental overlooking the ocean.

We loved the Bali Beach house in Rio Del Mar. The house was in excellent condition and the views of the ocean and Santa Cruz were outstanding. The house is equipped with everything needed for a wonderful vacation whether you decide to cook at home or go out to the many wonderful restaurants nearby. My son was able to work on line in a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean while my wife and I were taking long strolls along the ocean. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon.

Bali-by-the-Beach - all stars

Lucky us - all positive experience: location, property and interaction with the owner. The house is as close to the beach as it can be, great view of the ocean (and backyard, too). Everything is in style, clean and well maintained. Kudos to Joan (the owner)! Excellent communication and execution - from the first to the last day. Thanks Joan for making our stay such a pleasant experience!

Great stay!

What a lovely stay! Great location only a block from the beach (even though we drove to the beach parking lot each day because of all of our stuff). Great view of the beach - we ate breakfast on the patio each morning and went out again at sunset to watch that. Convenient location to walk to a few restaurants and only a 5 minute drive to more. Clean, nice place. Joan was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely consider coming back here again if planning another beach getaway. Thanks for having us! :)

Bali- Heaven!

Absolutely beautiful home and location! We truly enjoyed our stay. Could have used a "real"coffee maker instead of the drip. Also, a nice gas grill instead of the tiny hibatchi would be a plus. Beds were extremely comfortable and we had no problem falling asleep. The waves are beautiful music to fall asleep to. Joan is a very inviting host and very easy to work with. Thank you.

Good find

Great location and accommodations were spacious and well appointed. Generally, I was impressed with the attention to detail. One small nit; paper products were lacking. No Kleenexes or napkins and very few paper towels. Given the attention to everything else, I suspect this was an oversight.

I've always wanted to live in a beach house. When I saw this home, I fell in love with it and bought it on the spot. What I enjoy: walking on the beach, walking to the famous Cement Ship at the Seacliff State Beach, walking to the quaint village of Aptos. I like the sweet and small Visitors Center, also located in Seacliff State Park. You just walk right to it! I love the food at the Pixie Deli around the corner. They make it easy to take a picnic to the beach. There's nothing like lying on a beach blanket on the warm sand. I read my book—for about 10 minutes. And then...I feel relaxed and dreamy, imagination in free rein. The waves, the birds, the breeze. I'm in a deeply restful place, and when I return I feel renewed, refreshed, and happy. And it all happens without getting into a car. Just a minute's walk from the house and there it is. My joy.

At Bali-by-the-Beach, I enjoy peace of mind and serenity. So much so that sometimes it is hard to leave! I'm so entranced by the view that it's just as good to see the view as it is to be in the view (i.e. on the beach). I feel in harmony with existence here.
