Location, location! Your cozy getaway awaits in Aptos at this marvelous guesthouse. The house is 5 minutes walk to Rio del Mar beach, and it is one mile away from the Forest of Nisene Marks. Either surfing, hiking, biking or beach relaxation is your choice of activity, you can have it all!

You will have access to the whole second floor of the house, with a separate entrance from the main house. No one will be downstairs when you stay, so you will have your privacy throughout the whole stay.

This charming property features a bedroom with 1 king bed, 1 queen sofa bed and 1 child loft bed, a lovely living room with TV, and all the essential amenities like WiFi, a washing machine, dryer, and heating. You will also have your own full kitchen. The soothing ambiance and decor make it the perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind and relax. Enjoy your time in Aptos at our lovely house.

You are welcome as well to enjoy the backyard when you stay. It has outdoor furniture and bbq grill.

EV charger is available for your use if you need it.

We don't stay at the property but will be available during your stay, if needed.

This is a great property for a couple or a couple with one kid and pets. Location is excellent. Property is well stocked. Very sweet that they left some snacks and a bottle of wine for us when we got there. I like being upstairs, but I like that you have access to the backyard and the barbecue. We will stay again.

Great location, quiet and private. It was an easy 3-minute walk to Rio del Mar beach, restaurants, and a coffee shop. The hosts were welcoming and thoughtful of everything you might need for your beach vacation.

This property was exactly as described. I would stay here again and again. Clean and has everything you need. I stayed for a week with my family and we enjoyed ourselves. They also have beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. Check in and check out was very simple. Book here!

Cute and right next to the beach! Its everything we wanted in a quiet beach weekend. House has everything you could need for your stay. The hosts are wonderful, from communication to providing treat for us to enjoy and toys and a bed for our fur babies. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing time. The house is so nice and cozy. The beach is just a short walk away on a very quiet nice street. Great little beach to walk on, feels like a hidden little gem. Would absolutely book again.

Check in was super smooth and Winnie gave us all the information we needed well in advance! The place is awesome and perfect for a small family. The beach gear was a huge plus and the location could not be beat! Would recommend for anyone staying in Aptos! We’ll definitely be back ourselves

Amazing Getaway Steps to the Beach

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The hosts were top notch, the location was awesome and the beach house was cozy and comfortable! Bonus, games, books, beach gear, etc the place was fully stocked with extra touches by the hosts! I’d highly recommend!

We loved our time at the property. It was clean, well stocked, and exactly as described in the online listing. The proximity to the beach was awesome. Not only is the house dog friendly, but the owner made it welcoming by providing a dog bed, and dog toys. My 13 year old daughter loved having her own space in the loft that was private, but not too far away so she could still be part of the activities. The house is well stocked with games, boogie boards, dishes, and condiments/seasonings. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in the area. This house, and Aptos are both hidden gems .

Pet friendly place including dog bed our dog loved. Close to the beach for great walking. The carpet in the living room is very stained and looks dirty. The couch also was dirty and uncomfortable to sit on . The place was smaller than it looked in the pictures. The bed is quite comfortable, though. However, the bedspread is also stained and dirty looking. I would not choose to stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback, Michelle. Sorry for the cleanliness appearance. We recently had the carpets and sofa steam-cleaned. And our cleaning service vacuums after each guest stay. There are some stubborn stains apparent and we have a new sofa and carpet on order. We were unaware of any spots on the bedspread and will replace. We have multiple bedspreads and typically change and clean often. As you were staying for a week - if you could have communicated these issues early on in your stay, we could have easily replaced bedding / double-cleaned areas of concern. We did check-in with you twice when you arrived and did not hear back. Thanks again for the feedback and happy to hear you enjoyed the pet friendly close proximity to the beach.

We had a great time while staying here. The house had everything we needed and more. It worked nicely for three adults and our dogs. We were greeted with chocolate covered pretzels (yummy), chips and salsa. The king-sized bed was comfy. The double sinks in the bathroom were a big plus and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to take the dogs out for great walks on the beach, and the food options nearby were all hard to beat. We would definitely stay here again...and will recommend it to our friends and family. Thanks for a great visit.

Great location, responsive host

Winie was such a gracious and helpful host! We brought our two dogs to visit my wife's family in Aptos, and had a great stay. The space is lovely and in an absolutely fantastic location just a short walk from the beach in Rio. Despite being so close to the beach (as well as Pixie's Deli and Venus), the neighborhood itself is very quiet at night. We're so happy to know that we have somewhere to stay the next time we want to bring our dogs to Aptos!

Close to beach, good food nearby

This location is very close (0.2miles) from the beach and a couple restaurants (we recommend Venus, which has a dog friendly patio). We were able to drive around town to a couple other places as well. The property was clean and exactly as described. The property owner checked in with us to make sure everything was going alright and we didn't need anything. Overall a very peaceful and fun experience. We would recommend this place to others.

Great location by the beach, the property was overall clean though the sofa bed sheets needed some washing. The blankets for the sofa bed also clearly needed washing.The owner was excellent in communicating. Internet worked most of the time. The property was very cute with a great view. It had bed for 3 people. The kitchen utensils were very useful for us. Plenty of surf boards to choose from. The Rio Del Mar beach was fantastic! We had a great time. Owner has a great taste for coastal style decor. Great stay!

Our family of four stayed here for the weekend in mid-August. The mild temperatures were a welcome respite from the Sacramento heat! The house was clean, well stocked, and tastefully decorated. Our kids slept on the fold-out in the living room and the small bed in the loft just fine. The wi-fi was solid, which is nice because we had spotty reception in town. The town is right on the beach, and the house is a 3-minute walk to a couple restaurants and the beach. Aptos is very small, cute and quiet, and only 15 minutes from Santa Cruz. We would stay here again and highly recommend it for small families with older children due to the loft and stairs.

Cozy comfort with easy access to beach and food.

Clean and comfortable with a bonus loft! Winnie has thought of everything in the well stocked kitchen and even a bed and chew toy for the dog to enjoy! We felt so welcome here! The beds were comfortable , bathroom gorgeous, and fireplace heaters a cozy touch! The house is tucked into an amazingly quiet street next to a busy beach park. You can plan to cook or not, as there’s a nice restaurant, coffee and a convenience store nearby. No need to take the car anywhere! We took long walks in both directions down the beach and found nearly empty beaches. The water and waves are beautiful at Rio Del Mar! Sunsets a bonus! We would love to return to this spot - it’s a real find!

We stayed at this property a couple years ago when it was hosted by the previous owner and loved it then, with a location that can't be beat. We were so excited to see it listed again and loved seeing the additional enhancements Winie and her family made. The kitchen is well-equipped with great cookware, the bar stool seats are a nice upgrade, and the beachy touches throughout were so special. We loved the origami boats on the toilet paper, and my kids' favorite feature was the plethora of fidgets and toys to explore and play with. Not only that, but the bed and dog bowls to ensure our pup had his own vacation too. The place feels homey and comfortable, with personal touches throughout, and Winie was very quick and wonderful to communicate with us. Highly recommend and hope we get to visit again!

Very cute and well kept house steps Away from the beach! Extremely responsive and gracious hosts! Lots of well thought out details in the house / like night light , laundry detergent, electric kettle, iPhone charger, very comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Lovely stay in the apartment. So close to the beach which was clean and had places to eat and a great coffee shop. Apartment was comfortable for the 2 of us with everything we needed. Much appreciated the welcome goodies and the coffee pods! It had ample parking and was very peaceful. Great to have use of the beach items and a bbq. Loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay and would book here again without hesitation!The location is unbeatable...just a short walk to Rio del Mar Beach, where we enjoyed morning coffee walks and delicious dinners! It was the perfect home base for enjoying everything Aptos has to offer.The house was clean, cute, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The private entrance and having the entire second floor to ourselves made the stay feel peaceful and secluded. The king bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and having access to laundry was a huge plus.The hosts have created a cozy, welcoming space that truly feels like a getaway.If you're looking for a comfortable beach retreat in an amazing location, this is it. Highly recommend!
