Sun bear cottage is a wonderful house for families right on the lake. Windows all around with beautiful views of the lake. Perfectly stocked with everything you might need and things you forgot to bring. Chris is a joy to work with and very responsive.There is so much to do in the area….hikes, wineries, markets and more.

Amazing!!!! We will be back!

This was by far the best place we have stayed. We are already planned to come again next year. Beautiful, quiet and large enough for big families.

Beautiful property, Amazing Host!

Had a great one night stay to visit with family in Traverse City. The property was amazing and spacious. The view was gorgeous. Chris, the host, was amazing and responsive to my questions. I would definitely stay here again and plan to if I need a place in Traverse City in the future.

Perfect Lake Leelanau Rental!!!

This is an absolutely fabulous property!! Chris, the owner, was so easy to work with and this is, by far, the nicest VRBO we have ever rented. From the location to the stocking of the home essentials, they have gone above and beyond!!! We can't wait to return! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Gorgeous Home!

The house is beautiful and spacious, the perfect setup for a group gathering. We loved the lake view, all the windows, and outside access from just about anywhere in the house. The house was immaculate, very clean, temperature controls in all the bedrooms, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch on a cool evening. Chris was an excellent host, very accommodating to our arrival and departure requests, and a great communicator. Would love to stay here again!

A Perfect Lakeside Getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning rental property, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.The property itself is beautifully maintained, with spacious living areas that are both cozy and stylish. The large floor to ceiling windows provided plenty of natural light and allowed us to enjoy the picturesque scenery of the lake. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals and enjoy them in the spacious dining and living area overlooking the water.The host Chris was incredibly responsive and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. This rental property is a hidden gem and we can’t wait to return.

The Sun Bear house is gorgeous! We had 6 adults and 4 teens. The house is very spacious, clean and well stocked. The lake view is spectacular and the location on the peninsula is close to everything. Chris was great to work with. I would stay again in an instant!
