Located beneath the live oaks of historic downtown Wilmington, above a bed of butterfly bushes and jasmine, this brand new 1 bedroom 1 bath carriage house apartment is 4 blocks from the Cape Fear riverwalk and 2 blocks to the Castle Street Arts District, located on a quiet block, and convenient to all local attractions. This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). And bonus - the apartment is dog friendly for bringing along your fur baby! Amazing gem a stones throw away from the Historic District

Had a wonderful four-nite time stay at the carriage house run by Wayne and Bobby. They thought of every little detail to make our stay worry free. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds extremely comfortable, and there were even toiletries in case we forgot something as well as bones and doggie bags for our pups.

Charm and convenience

Our second stay in six months at this lovely property. Close to the Riverwalk and the shops and restaurants of Wilmington. Quiet historic area that oozes charm. Thoughtfully set up with everything you need. Butterfly Cottage has it all.

Cute, hidden property in a quiet neighborhood. Hosta were very nice and friendly. Close to downtown and very central to all the OTH locations. Recommend for future stays

Short Get Away

The host have created an awesome place for my wife and me to get away for the weekend. The apartment was very well kept, clean, and beautifully setup on the inside. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for marathon

This was an adorable little cottage with everything we needed. The location was about 4 blocks off of the marathon route and we loved being able to have our dogs. No problems finding free street parking right in front of the house and easy places to walk and potty the dogs.

Amazing Weekend Getaway

We had an amazing stay. The property was exactly as described and perfect for my husband and I and our dog. We loved the walkability to downtown and will definitely be back. The hosts were extremely responsive and had great suggestions for things to do.

Great place, location and host!

Our children stayed here with their 2 dogs over Thanksgiving break while we celebrated with family in the area. The carriage house was immaculate, cozy, well stocked and in a great walking distance to downtown and the riverfront area. The host was very gracious to allow earlier check-in and the opportunity to stay a little longer past check out if needed be. I would definitely recommend this property!

Wonderful Stay! Highly Recommended

We had a fantastic experience at this property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated everything was. The location was perfect – close to local attractions but still quiet and peaceful. We also appreciated the little touches, like extra towels, toiletries, and the variety of board games for a night in. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable hassle-free getaway.

Quiet and comfy

The one-bedroom apartment has everything you need for your stay. The hosts have included nice amenities for the bathroom and kitchen that you don't usually see in travel rentals. Very walkable location.

Beautiful Pet Friendly Property

We stayed three nights with our adult daughter and two dogs and this was a perfect pet friendly place! Great location for walking to downtown restaurants and venues. For us, the ease of walking our dogs in the church yard next door or around the block was great. The property is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well-socked with most anything you will need.

Great spot - would definitely return

Great location in historic area of Wilmington, close walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, great record store etc. Hosts were great - we had a super minor issue (batteries dead in tivo remote - crisis!!). I told them we’d get batteries next AM and like 3 minutes later there was a basket outside the door with batteries (and candy!). Incredibly well appointed and comfortable- good space for 2 people would be tight with more. Wifi worked well

Great Spot

Great spot in downtown Wilmington! Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. The place was very nice and clean and the host was excellent with communicating!! I would 100% recommend and would stay here again!

What a wonderful stay! My husband and I brought our dog and 4 month old and the stay was perfect. The property is as advertised if not better! We were very comfortable and the location is amazing for walking around and enjoying Wilmington.
