Light-Filled Carriage House Apartment- Blocks to Beach and Boardwalk

Our 1928 carriage house apartment is situated in historic Beach Hill. It has been recently renovated, yet much of the original charm has been maintained. It is a perfect spot for families or small groups - close to many tourist spots yet located in a residential neighborhood.
Cowell's Beach (boogie boarding and surfing), Steamer's Lane (advanced surfing), Monterey Exploration Center, Boardwalk, wharf, Warriors basketball stadium, downtown, and West Cliff Drive (bike/walking path along the ocean) are all a quick 5 minute walk from our house.
The apartment is located in a private garden setting, away from the main street, behind our home. We hope you will love this historical neighborhood as much as we do!

Location! Honestly you can’t beat it. Walking distance to everything. Place was really clean and well stocked, and full of little touches like cereal and chocolates. Back yard was nice too! Great for families as long as you are good with stairs! Loved loved loved this place.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place was very cute and clean and we had everything we could possibly need. The beds were extremely comfortable. Perfect spot for walking to the boardwalk. We had an amazing time and definitely plan on booking this place again for family trips to Santa Cruz.

This was our second time staying at the carriage house. Everything was just as good as the first time. We appreciated all of the wonderful amenities and the fine touches to make our stay so pleasant and comfortable. The ideal location and great proximity to the beach/Boardwalk and downtown made for easy access via walking. We look forward to coming back!

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation! Such an easy walk to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, beach and downtown! Many great shops and restaurants within a 20 minute walk. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well-stocked! It had absolutely everything we needed and more! Sarah was a lovely host! Even though it's a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk, the apartment was really quiet and peaceful! We would absolutely stay there again, highly recommend!

Great location! We were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. Very hospitable owners. Lots of little extra touches to make the stay easy and comfortable.

We were impressed with the property and the host! For the same price as a reasonably high end hotel room, you get 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and a living room. Great for families! And the location is perfect - inbetween boardwalk/beach and downtown, making walking anywhere easy and preferred. We had a couple hot days and host brought us over ice cream - how cool is that? There is a firepit outside nestled in a pretty garden, and a smores kit all prepared. Property is highly recommended!

A perfect place to stay for a beach trip. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and the owners thought of all the details (or stuff for s'mores). Truly great place to stay, we'll definitely come again.

Great, convenient place

The location was superb, with easy access to the boardwalk, wharf, beaches and coffee shops. Exploring the area was incredibly convenient and enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay

A lovey two bedroom apartment. Close to the beach and it has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Sarah was a great host and we would not hesitate to recommend this place to others

It's a wonderfully cute property with everything our family needed for a great trip to Santa Cruz Monterey! And the location couldn't be more convenient to the Santa Cruz sights!

Perfect location, wonderful host!

We absolutely loved staying at this adorable apartment located near so many experiences in Santa Cruz. Sarah did a lovely job in making us feeling welcome—great coffee, snacks, and even can of local beer! We would definitely stay there again!

We are close to museums, parks, movie theaters, live theater, sporting events, and shops, as well as the ocean, wharf, and boardwalk.
