Escape to this charming island cottage on Oak Island, NC, where relaxation and comfort await you. Recently refurbished with a new kitchen, bathroom, and furnishings, this cozy retreat is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby beaches and attractions.

Located just a 20-minute walk, less than a 10-minute bike ride, or a quick 5-minute car ride to the beach, this cottage offers convenience and accessibility to the sandy shores. With 2 beach cruiser bikes available for your use, you can easily explore the area and enjoy the coastal breeze. This home is located three blocks from the 9th street walkover to the beach and six blocks from Middleton bridge to the beach.

The cottage features a large, fully dog-fenced backyard with a fire pit and horseshoe pits, providing a great space for outdoor gatherings and activities. Inside, you'll find modern amenities such as a washer/dryer, and a well-equipped kitchen.

After a day of beachcombing, or boating, relax in the comfortable living room with a TV and Netflix streaming, or enjoy a meal on the patio. The multiple queen beds ensure a restful night's sleep.

Clean home in a great location with a spacious backyard for your pups! Dish soap & sponge, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags were provided and were able to last my husband and I for the whole week we stayed. Home was cozy and was perfect for the two of us during our stay! Would definitely come back

Great but small

The house is super nice. But it’s small so if you have more than 2 people might not really be a good fit. Bring hand soap, trash bags, dish detergent, washing powder if planning on washing. They don’t provide anything extra.

Summer at the beach

We had a great stay at Salty Escape! The house was spacious and looked just like the pictures (new and clean). The location was great and we could walk with our three kids to the playground and splash pad as well as the beach. (Stores and restaurants also within walking distance). The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes so it was easy to cook meals at home and it was nice not to have to do the dishes after each meal (we were 5 people). We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again if on Oak Island.

The property was pretty good and convenient , but the beds were hard and pillows very thin so we didn’t sleep well. The shower was very nice. They want you to wash the dishes but provide no detergent or liquid. There were only large plastic cups, coffee mugs and wine glasses. Some smaller glasses would be good . The place was done well it just feels like corners were cut at the end

House was clean but very small. No ceiling fans in the bedrooms. No beach chairs. No hair dryer. Only two rolls of tp for a week long stay.
