Gorgeous Historic Victorian Duplex, Quick Walk to Wharf, Beach & Boardwalk
1887 Victorian Historic Landmark on Beach Hill. Beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom on the UPPER LEVEL of Eastlake style Victorian duplex.
You are just a minute or two walk from the Santa Cruz Main Beach, Wharf and Boardwalk. Surf at Cowell's or just enjoy the sun and fun. We have boogie boards and some wetsuits that you are welcome to use and there are books and games for the family.
Approximately 1900 square feet of space. Multiple hand blown original glass bay windows, very bright and cheery. Lovely hardwood floors throughout. Beautiful trim details, doors, original hardware, amazing chandeliers, fantastic deck etc. See it on the cover of “The Sidewalk Companion to Santa Cruz Architecture” at the book section of the MAH (The Museum of Art & History).
This is a rare opportunity to stay in one of the oldest and best-kept houses/landmarks in Santa Cruz. The intricate exterior is heavily adorned with gingerbread and is detailed with six colors.
The space has a large living room complete with sofa, wing back chairs, and 60" 4K curved flat screen TV with cable and DVR. The dining room features a large dining room table with six chairs. The spacious kitchen has garbage disposal, gas stove, dishwasher, and newer refrigerator. One bedroom features a gorgeous four poster queen sized bed with a 37" flat screen TV, the second bedroom lovely antique bedroom set with a full bed and 55" flat screen TV with DVR, the third a queen sized Murphy bed and the fourth bedroom a remarkable full sized Murphy bed that transforms into a desk. One of the bathrooms has a clawfoot tub with pedestal sink, the second bathroom is a Jack and Jill to two of the bedrooms and has a shower. Both are nicely remodeled.
The home is ideally located at the top of Beach Hill, with a very short walk (2- 3 minutes) to the beach/wharf or about ten minutes to downtown. Nice backyard and small upstairs back deck.
Tandem parking for up to two large cars in driveway + 1 parking permit for street.
Sorry, but we absolutely do not allow pets or smoking on the premises (inside or outside).

Excellent location, everything was as described. The house was also very spacious. We had a great time during our weekend stay. Nicole was extremely responsive when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Great views. Nicely appointed kitchen and bathrooms and laundry. Quality towels and bedding. House exterior under construction and no working A/C but opening windows helped. Screens would have been nice but acceptable as it was. Host was very responsive.

We’re so glad that you enjoyed your stay and the amenities! We apologize that a few of the front steps needed painting after they were rebuilt, but our contractor ran out of time. Our 1887 Victorian has never had air-conditioning or screens and we do not state that we have air-conditioning anywhere in our listing.

Very well stocked kitchen as well as cleaning, personal supplies and linens. Love the Victorian charm and rockers on the porch. Perfect location, 2 blocks from beach and boardwalk.

Elegant old world charm ar center of many interesting venues
We enjoyed a family get together with grown children and grandchildren scattered across the state. So much to see and do: Beach, Boardwalk, Pier shops and restaurants, Roaring Camp trains and hiking, Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Beautiful home; great location
We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The home has a lot of character and a well-stocked kitchen if you're planning to cook. It's also close to the boardwalk.I'd definitely book here again.

Beautiful House
