Secluded Family Friendly Bungalow

Originally a US Navy building that was moved to it's present location in the early 50's. This is our family getaway that we share with guests, some who have been coming back for several years. It is within biking distance of attractions such as the nc aquarium, the Lost Colony Theater, and the Manteo waterfront and Centenial Park. The house has a/c, cable and internet. A backyard hammock, and an outdoor shower. It is an economical and fun place with something for everyone whether it be surfing, fishing or enjoying the many local attractions.

Another fabulous family vacation at one of our favorite destinations and rentals. Property was clean as always. James is always great to deal with and great communication. Pet friendly is a must for us. Property is private, but a short trip to the beaches, parks and attractions. Perfect for our family. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

This location and home were perfect for our family of five! James was incredibly accommodating, not only for us but also for our German Shepherd. The home was spotless, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. The screened-in porch and patio were the highlights of our stay and quickly became our family’s favorite spots to relax and spend time together. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay here again.

The house was clean with an updated kitchen stocked with plenty of dishes, cutlery, and cookware. It is in a nice quiet spot close to many attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and spacious. We were a little nervous about the neighborhood as we were driving there since it’s in kind of an industrial area, but it ended up being so quiet and peaceful.

Great stay with privacy

I had a fantastic stay at James' property. It exactly fit my needs and appreciated the seclusion, but was close enough to access Nags Head. The property is nearby the local airport, but we were not bothered at all by the limited air traffic. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very clean, quiet and had plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. It was well stocked with everything you might need which was especially helpful in case you forgot to pack something. The host was responsive and made the entire experience smooth and stress free. Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice it’s even better in person. Would absolutely stay here again!

We have stayed here several times and we keep coming back because of the cleanliness and amenities. This past visit did not disappoint! We had a minor mishap during our stay, but James addressed it immediately. We plan to book again next year!

One of cleanest houses we have stayed in. James was a great host and communicated very well with us. The location worked out great with our 2 dogs. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you James for being a great host!

Secluded lovely home.

A wonderful, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, well-stocked, slightly quirky home off the beaten path. We especially loved the screened in porch. The bed was comfortable and the welcoming touches from the host were very nice. We enjoyed our time here.

Starting a new family tradition!

This property has the best location. So close to a life guarded beach and the national seashore. It’s clean, quiet, and has everything you need. We’ve stayed here two years in a row and plan on next year as well!

Feels like Home!

Absolutely loved staying here. It truly is your home away from home. Super clean and the porch is incredible! We really appreciated all of the little touches that were included in the home. The pictures don't do it justice. We will be back for sure!
