Melinda is a wonderful hostess! Her home is in a quiet area and very convenient to Tulane. Her gardens are absolutely beautiful. She is incredibly talented and creative, and that carries through to the inside of her home as well. It’s filled with amazing artwork, unique decor, and so many thoughtful touches. We all loved the sweet neighborhood cats that call her place home too! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Hilliary Street Southern Gardens! We were attending the Tulane Spring Football Game, and everything was in walking distance to the house! Lots of great places to eat, and the house was perfect! Look forward to our next trip back to New Orleans!

The host was so friendly, the location to Tulane is so convenient walking distance and the area is very quiet with the comfiest bed. Highly recommend for a relaxing visit with everything you need. Plenty of seating areas, living room and dining, and a full kitchen.

Close to Tulane, charming house, and Melinda is friendly and helpful. The outside space is beautiful as Melinda is a talented landscaper. Lots of pride in this sweet property.

Lovely and conveniently located

The location is very convenient, walking distance to Tulane, which is what we were looking for. Also walking distance to the St. Charles street car, making it easy to get into the French Quarter without having to drive downtown. Would stay here again, for sure.

A lovely stay

Melinda was warm and welcoming and the neighborhood perfect for our visit to Tulane. The house is cute and Melinda’s landscaping skills very evident in the pretty front garden!

Lovely stay

Adorable place. Great location. Beautiful grounds. Responsive host. You can tell the home is a labor of love as it is very well decorated, clean and taken care of. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect location near Tulane University

Visiting my daughter for the weekend and the location was perfect. Short walk to campus, lovely walk to Audobon Park. Beautiful home!!

Very good location and a very nice hostess

We had an enjoyable stay at this VRBO. The hostess is very nice and available for assistance. There is a minor issue for older persons as the bath tub is hard to get in and out.

Perfect for our needs

The location was wonderful. We were able to easily walk to Tulane and the streetcar to get to other locations. The space was clean and the bed comfortable. I loved the charm of the claw-foot tub. Will definitely keep this on our list for our return trips.

Authentic NOLA Experience

Our stay at the shotgun style house was exactly the authentic NOLA experience we were seeking. Great communication with the property owner. Location was central to many of the city’s activities.

Close to campus

Hillary’s Garden was a perfect location to the Tulane campus. The home was clean and equipped with everything needed. It was quiet and quaint.

Wonderful home with character near Tulane

This shotgun home is spotless. The owner is very responsive and helpful. The beds super comfortable and it is very quiet at night. If you are visiting Tulane the location cannot be beat. We were seeing all the tourist sites in NOLA and found it easy to do from here.
