Mountain Chic Cheyenne Cañon Cottage, Steps to The Broadmoor & Amazing Hiking!

The ultimate romantic hideaway, Hawthorne Cottage is located in a very quiet and safe enclave tucked back from the street in Cheyenne Canyon. This newly renovated and super clean unit is uniquely decorated with a contemporary cottage, organic vibe. A kiva fireplace provides the centerpiece of the inviting space, which also features radiant heated floors, a fully-stocked modern kitchen with a gas range and quartz countertops. Enjoy high quality linens in the cozy bedroom and luxurious towels in the beautiful bath, all equipped with radiant-heated floors.

The cottage is located directly across the street from a main trailhead, leading to hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The world-renowned Broadmoor Hotel is within a ten minute walk. Sacred Grounds Cafe, open for breakfast and lunch daily, is also open for dinner with live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cheyenne Canyon is home to abundant wildlife, including deer, bear, raccoons, squirrels, a multitude of bird species and an occasional mountain lion (they stay clear of us!). As you'll read in the reviews, you will see many of these species on a daily basis right from the living room windows of the cottage!

Hawthorne Cottage has it's own private outdoor living space with a chaise, table and chairs and a grill. It is located next door to the charming Bella Cottage (see #501024 for reviews). The cottage has it's own entrance, patio area and off-street parking area.

We are "on-property" owners. We clean our cottages with the absolute highest level of care and cleanliness. We strive to provide an incredibly safe and relaxing environment for our guests.

The hosts are wonderful and were happy to answer my questions. They kept in contact with me and the instructions for the cottage were thorough. It is a lovely place and well furnished with high quality bedding, towels and furnishings. I highly recommend the cottage for a great getaway and reasonable price.

For those considering this property. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not booking. My wife and I stayed for a few nights and loved it. Karen and David were super communicative and friendly. We loved that this spot was so secluded but still really close to everything we wanted to see. It was cozy and cool. A really great spot. We will absolutely book this if we ever return. One of the best properties I have stayed at for sure.

This property is a perfect little slice of paradise in Colorado Springs! My fiancee and I booked this location for a week prior to our wedding to enjoy the area, and this was the perfect place! David was super communicative throughout our entire stay, and was always ready to offer suggestions for things to do, or get us anything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails directly across the street, with no need to drive anywhere, it made getting out and enjoying nature incredibly easy. I did spend a few days working remotely during our stay so I was VERY appreciative of the fact that the property has a dedicated router with excellent speeds. Overall, we have zero complaints, and are hoping to come back again in the future! There's a lot of care and attention to detail on this property that many other hosts often miss.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Cottage was decorated beautifully & a great location for visiting all the top attractions . Lovely Little Cottage

Such a charming little cottage. The deer hung out for us the entire day the first day in the yard next door. It was well appointed and classy. Close to great activities and restaurants.

Clean and Cozy

Very easy check in and out. Property was clean and well maintained. House was very clean, and comfortable. Very nice, and the owners were easy to contact. Recommended if you are traveling by yourself or with a partner.

Conference Stay

I stayed at Hawthorne Cottage during a conference that I was attending at the Broadmoor. The cottage was perfect for me. It was close to the hotel, had a very comfy bed for sleeping, and a peaceful ambiance. Once I figured out how to use the radiant heating thermostat, it was cozy and warm!

Wonderful little cottage. Perfect stay for my wife and I will attending a conference nearby. Extremely quiet and peaceful. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't thought of at this location; anything you needed was available and the interior design of the cottage is very impressive; despite its size, it felt very spacious. Hosts were very communicative and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

David, is from Southern California, but has spent the past thirty years in Colorado. We were recently married and share a passion for meeting our vacation rental guests. Our two vacation cottages are located on the property behind our personal home. We love the beauty of Cheyenne Canyon an enjoy hiking, tennis, pickleball and golf.

The property is very unique, as it sits off the road in a quiet enclave with private parking and tons of wildlife. It is centrally located to all of Colorado Springs' most popular attractions, including Pikes Peak, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, the Olympic Training Center, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and The Broadmoor.
