Wynander Lodge is a beautifully presented two bedroom, dog friendly holiday lodge set within the popular White Cross Bay Holiday Park on the shores of Lake Windermere.

Perfectly located for scenic walks, lakeside adventures, and exploring the local villages, this stylish lodge offers the perfect mix of comfort and nature.

Inside, you'll find a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and a comfortable lounge area - ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the fells. The master bedroom features a double bed and ensuite shower room, while the second bedroom includes twin single beds - perfect for children or additional guests.

Your well behaved dog is warmly welcomed, and with miles of countryside right on your doorstep, it's a paradise for four legged friends too.

Outside, unwind on the private deck and enjoy the luxury of your own hot tub, where you can soak beneath the stars or start your day with a peaceful morning dip.

Whether you're hiking the fells, visiting local pubs, or simply relaxing with family and your pup in tow, Wynander Lodge is your perfect Lake District escape.

Wyander Lodge

We stayed as a family of 4 with a dog. Upon arrival everything was great, the Lodge was clean and tidy, bathrooms were clean and besa all clean and fresh. The hot tub was also nice and hot, which other reviews had noted wasnt up to temperature when they arrived. It was only after the first day we noticed a few niggles, mouldy door frames/window frames in the bedrooms, dusty blinds, dusty surfaces in the bathroom, just a little bit grubby all around really. The main areas that you want to be clean were all ok, but it felt like it needed a deep clean in the places that are forgotten. This didnt detract from the weekend we had, and the facilities in the lodge were great, the kids especially liked the games that were in the living area. Lots of kitchen equipment and cleaning products under the sink, you had everything you needed. I would certainly come back, hopefully the smaller niggles will be addressed.

Thank you also for your comments regarding the areas that could have been cleaner. We will pass these on to our housekeeping team so they can be given some extra attention. The hot tub at Wynander Lodge is brand new, and as part of our changeover process the water is completely changed between every stay. This can mean that the hot tub may take a little time to reach its full temperature after arrival, but we are pleased to hear that yours was already nice and hot when you arrived. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Wynander Lodge in the future.

May mini break

We had an enjoyable stay Mon-Fri in the May half term, during very hot weather. The lodge was well presented, comfortable and spacious in a nice location on the park. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not up to temperature on our first evening and was too cool to get in as it had been set at the wrong temperature. Lakes Cottages and Lodges advised us how to rectify this and it was up to temp by the following day. There were a few other annoying issues during our stay including the fridge not adequately cooling the contents, very low water pressure (at some points no water or just a trickle coming out of tap / shower) and the TV in the lounge not working, but the customer service we received from Lakes Cottages and Lodges was excellent.
