Lakefront escapade à la montagne. parfaite crique tranquille pour les activités nautiques, foyer.

Belle maison au bord du lac de vacances.

Nous sommes situés à l'arrière de notre crique face à l'ouest pour les meilleures vues de beaux couchers de soleil sur les montagnes de Smokey. Cinq chambres (trois reines, quatre jumeaux) et trois salles de bains. TV couleur in den étage et salon en bas salon avec câble, magnétoscope / DVD. Planchers de pin de coeur tout au long de l'escalier.

La cuisine est entièrement meublée et comprend beaucoup d'espace de stockage. Il ya 2 machines à glaçons, un dans le réfrigérateur et un dans le bar. La table à manger peut accueillir 8-12 personnes. Il ya un espace supplémentaire pour les repas à l'îlot de cuisine, à une table de jeu, et sur le porche.

Nous sommes la dernière maison sur la route, vous donnant la vie privée et un grand parking. Profitez de superbes vues tout en étant assis ou dîner sur la grande terrasse au bord du lac. Il ya un barbecue à gaz pour votre commodité. Trois ensembles de portes vitrées ouvertes sur le pont du salon offrant une vue splendide sur le lac et Rumblin 'Bald Mountain de la vie et de salle à manger en bas.

Le hangar a une autre grande plate-forme, les étapes vers le bas à une pataugeoire, et marches sur le toit pour le saut. Kayaks disponibles pour les locataires utilisent. Notre crique tranquille et parfait pour la natation ou flottant.

Le foyer est grand pour l'automne / hiver ou d'été fraîche nuits. La montagne derrière le foyer est boisé et à la fin de la route, donnant à la maison un sentiment privé et beaucoup d'espace pour les jeunes explorateurs.

Les activités locales disponibles incluent la natation, le ski, la navigation de plaisance, pêche, canoë-kayak de rivière et de tubes, golf, putt putt, tennis, randonnée, randonnée, vélo, équitation, dîner à l'extérieur ... you name it!

Communication with the host was great, pre-trip and during our stay. The view of the mountain was fabulous. Even though the lake was still drained 30 feet for hurricane cleanup and recovery, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The open floor plan is nice. Especially with the bedroom level having its own lounging area. The grocery store is only 10 minutes away. Restaurants even closer.

Great Vacation on Lake Lure

We loved our stay at this Lake Lure property! It was such a charming home with everything we needed. We loved the privacy of being at the end of the cove. The view of the lake and mountains was wonderful. We had adequate parking and it was great to walk right into the house with no one xtra steps for my elderly mom. Loved our stay!

We loved the house!! Accommodated our family just great! Although we were there during Helene & had to cut our way out, Mrs Martha was the best host! We plan to go back another family vacation to her house once Lake Lure is cleaned & back open!!

Perfect Lake Weekend

This house was extremely cozy and offered gorgeous views of the lake! The property provided all the things needed for a lovely weekend in, including plenty of fire wood, a fully equipped kitchen, and several kayaks. While this was our first time at the property, we hope it won't be our last!

Cozy, relaxing, and fun spot for family stay

With this being our second stay at Martha's home, we definitely enjoy it! With plenty of space indoors, on the deck, on the dock, and in the water, our extended family had a great time and felt very much at home. With Verizon service nearly nonexistent and very spotty internet at the house, it was mostly an unplugged week for us which is wonderful for a family vacation.

Im glad you had a good time and I'm sorry you had trouble with the internet. I am changing providers next week so I hope things improve. Lake Lure pretty limited in companies from which to choose. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about spotty cell service which is why I still have a land line. Renters are welcome to use it. Not the same as a cellphone of course, but better than nothing. Hope to see you again next year.

Astonishing views!

Lake Lure is a must in anyone's travel, but the cabin was what gave us the most memories!. Spacious and quaint is the best way to describe. We had 3 families stay and none of us felt crowded or on top of each other. I recommend to anyone looking and would definitely stay again. Thank you to our host for all the memories we made and the extra hospitality we received.

Wonderful!

The house is roomy, clean, well maintained, beautifully furnished and comfortable. There is a great view of the lake and mountains, access to swimming right in the front yard and even a fire pit for s'mores! Our hosts couldn't have been more accomodating and I recommend this vacation home for any family members from infants to senoirs!

Great COVID respite

The location was great with ample cooking utensils and storage. Due to COVID-19, we did not leave the property and were well equipped to stay there. We didn’t need to interact with anyone and we’re pleased with the property and lake.

Third Time

We spent a week at this property for the third time. Need I say more? It is perfect for our family vacation. So much to do and to see. And the house has everything anyone could want. The owners are very accommodating. I highly recommend this rental.

Another great time

This was our second year in a row at this house and again had a great time. The deck and dock are great and that is after all, why we’ve come to Lake Lure. Martha is always prompt and extremely helpful if ever a question arises. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Another wonderful week

My family rented this property in 2018 and we rented it again this summer. We thought it was perfect for us both times. Two remodeled upstairs bathrooms were a nice surprise. Once again we all hated to leave. We will return!

Wonderful home right on the water

We loved this lake house and had a great vacation there. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Every morning we had coffee on the deck overlooking the lake with a beautiful mountain. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Kayaks, canoe, and lake swimming kept us busy. Short drive to grocery store and hiking. Owner was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot

The house was perfect for us. We had a fabulous week. The cove is GORGEOUS. House was stocked with everything we needed. The only issue we had was the internet/tv. We like to watch shows at night and it was really hard to get access. I would recommend maybe upgrading your tv service or internet, but other than that, we loved it!

AT&T has JUST laid fiber optic cable down our road and we switched internet service over to that this week so I am hopeful that all is in working order now. A perfect family vacation.

What a wonderful week was had by all. My granddaughter summed up the feelings of all when she said on our last day that she didn’t want to go home. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly want or need. There were so many things to do that no one was ever bored. Golf, biking, kayaking (the property had several), swimming, hiking, and even a visit to the spa at the nearby resort were some of our activities. The grandchildren especially loved the slide on the dock and jumping into the lake from the boat house roof. All enjoyed sitting on the well-shaded deck admiring the very beautiful view. We would definitely rent this property again.

A Perfect Getaway Spot

My wife and I, parents, and almost-three-year-old stayed here for the Memorial Day weekend, and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision. This property was exactly as advertised—although the breathtaking view, which we never got tired of, was even better. The house was the perfect mix of rustic, comfortable, and updated, and fully stocked with essentials for cooking. Lots of little things, like a full spice cabinet, lots of grilling utensils, an extra tank of gas for the grill, and life jackets for kids and adults, made it clear that the owner, Martha, has been (successfully) hosting people for quite some time. I live in Asheville so Lake Lure isn't unfamiliar to me, but staying here I felt like I was on a totally new vacation. On top of all this, the owner was extremely communicative and accommodating. My family and I would absolutely stay here again.

Wow....this place has it all. Perfect place for a family reunion. I had my parents and my siblings come down from NY for an extended weekend. We loved sitting around the open concept kitchen / dining / living room area and talking til the wee hours of the night. The back deck has an amazing view of the lake and the mountain on the other side. We could see waterfalls cascading down the mountain after it had rained the night before. The house itself was stocked with everything you could possibly need, and there was plenty of bedrooms for a large family. The Herrings were very responsive to our inquiries and clearly cared about making our stay the best it could be. This was my family's first time staying in the Lake Lure area, and we're already talking about planning another stay. Cant wait to come back.

Lake House Family Fun Time!

Lake time this year instead of a beach trip and we were all so thrilled with our choice! 4 grandchildren- ranging from 3 and 4 year old “littles” and 8 and 10th are old “bigs” with their 2 sets of parents and us the grandparents had everything we needed for a week of fun at Lake Lure! The owner- Martha- was so very responsive and helpful with making sure the hospitality the home offered was well in place for us. Lake dock was full of kayaks and splash pad fun! Super nice cove for that. And THE VIEW! Wow! We rented a pontoon boat to add to our fun from Lake Lure Boat Rental for part of the week. Everyone in our family gave the week and lake house a double thumbs up!👍🏻

Excellent week away!

Beautiful view, comfy home, lovely visit with family. Perfect location to feel "away from it all" but close enough to stores, hikes, and activities for all ages. Lots of shade to keep the heat away. We loved kayaking, swimming off the dock, and lounging on the porch. We had plenty of space for my the little ones, the teens, all the parents, and a set of grandparents. Martha made sure we were welcome and well-equipped for our stay. FYI: Don't plan to bring your own kayaks (Martha has some anyway) - the registration for lake use is very expensive. Do plan to get a fishing license. Patrol boats are out a lot and monitor closely. Bait can be found at the Marina in the town of Lake Lure. Roads to the house are curvy and windy but any vehicle can make it. We enjoyed it and are so thankful for our week away! Thanks!
