Beau séjour

Endroit agrĂ©able Ă  quelques minutes de la plage. Lits confortables et propres. Stationnement juste devant la maison. Cuisine plus ou moins propre, odeur de gras, beaucoup de choses sont manquantes et dĂ©sordre dans les armoires et tiroirs. Aliments des anciens locataires avaient Ă©tĂ© laissĂ©s dans le frigo. Moira est trĂšs agrĂ©able et facile Ă  contacter car demeure juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ©. Les avantages: lave-vaisselle, laveuse et sĂ©cheuse. TrĂšs apprĂ©ciĂ©! Suggestions: fournir des serviettes de bain, vĂ©rifier l'inventaire des articles de cuisine pour qu’on en ait en quantitĂ© suffisante (ustensiles, verres, etc). Une table avec chaises sur la galerie extĂ©rieure serait Ă©galement apprĂ©ciĂ©. En gĂ©nĂ©ral on a aimĂ© notre sĂ©jour :)

Simplicité

Points positifs: propretĂ© des lieux, emplacement parfait car Ă  10 minutes de la plage Ă  pieds, quartier calme et sĂ©curitaire. Points nĂ©gatifs: on y annonce 6 lits mais dans les faits, on peut considĂ©rer qu’il y en a seulement 4. Le sofa- lit est trĂšs inconfortable et le 3 Ăšre lit ajouter sur la mezzanine est tellement petit que personne ne pourrait y dormir. La configuration des lieux ne permet pas Ă  une jeune famille d’y vivre. Chambre des enfants sur mezzanine et chambre des parents au Rez-de-jardin avec la seule salle de bain. Il faut doc descendre 2 Ă©tages pour se rendre Ă  la salle de bain. Également, les personnes ayant certaines difficultĂ©s de mobilitĂ© ne eurent y habiter. Un petit escalier en colimaçon sĂ©pare le premier Ă©tage de la chambre des parents au rez-de -jardin. Assez dangereux et peu pratique. Il manque du mobilier extĂ©rieur pour en profiter pleinement. Ceci Ă©tant, nous avons apprĂ©cier notre sĂ©jour dans cette coquette maison.

Great location and just what we needed. Would not recommend for a group of adults. Only one bathroom on the bottom floor. We had no issues with the accommodations for the 2 of us. Beach was just a short walk down the road. Great spot for walking to places around Old Orchard.

It was a nice place. But, on three floors.Bathroom was at the bottom of the spiral staircase. As was the main bedroom. Twin beds on the third floor. Was very warm even with the fans going.It was well stocked with supplies to use. Has a washer and dryer which was very handy with children. Not recommended for elderly, disabled, or young children.

Cute little place. Set up so you could hear everything. Perfect for 2 couples. The hard part was the restroom and shower being in the bedroom area. Glad there was no TV in the living area. A lot of ambient light
 place was lit up like daylight all night. Apologies for the loud college aged people. Sometimes maturity escaped them. I know it would have been calmer if their partners did not come. There will be none of that with me ever again.

Everything was so clean and wonderful. The house was an ideal size for us and everything was so relaxing and great. The owners were phenomenal, super helpful and sweet. The location is perfect for a quick walk to the beach and near Tami Lyn's which is a fantastic general store and take-out place. Thank you so much, great time and we will most likely book again for next year.

Cute and quiet, needs some additional amenities.

The property was in fact a property. It would have been nice to have some additional things to complete the property as more of a home. The property was missing areas to unpack clothing into. In the downstairs there wasn’t a dresser to put clothes in and the make shift closet was had 4 hangers. The house was really warm and there was no way to escape the heat. There was no AC in the property. The decks were both very nice and well kept but there wasn’t a chair or anything to enjoy the outdoors in the morning or sit out and have a cup of coffee. Having towels would have been nice but there wasn’t any. The laundry was very convenient. Would not stay again unless there was AC installed.

Location, location, location

Great location. Clean, neat. Stayed with my 2 young adult children, was perfect for us. Close enough to walk to the beach, the downtown area, and neighborhood store. Owners kept to themselves but acknowledged us when we saw each other outdoors. (Perfect) Quiet back yard area to relax and a clothesline. Son was disappointed wifi wasn't great in the lower level, was fine for my needs.

First time in OOB

Positives: Property was as described. Owner lives next door and only saw briefly. Check in was seamless. Beds were comfortable. Immediate neighborhood was quiet. Beaches were clean. Cons: spiral stair case was fine for us and our 7 year old but I would not recommend for younger or elderly. Only tv and bathroom is all the way downstairs. There are no doors closing any rooms so you can hear everything from all floors (including snoring). Fry pans and pillows need replacing. The deck out back needs a small table and two chairs. With all said. We personally would stay here again.

Great, clean, convenient place! - Be sure to read the listing carefully

We've been to Old Orchard Beach many times, and we enjoyed our stay at this condo very much! The group was me, my 14 year old daughter, and two of her friends. The girls took the loft bedroom and I used the bed in the walk-out basement. The place is great for a clean, convenient place to lay your head while enjoying Old Orchard! It's about a ten-minute walk from the beach, but that means it's far enough from the train tracks that the train doesn't wak you up. (If you stay right at the beach, you will hear the very loud train at all hours.) The kitchen is great, with space for up to six people to sit and eat. (As with most short-term rentals, if you need sharp knives for cooking, bring your own.) Be sure to read the description so you understand things that might not work for you. The only bathroom is downstairs in the walk-out basement bedroom area, and to get there you have to go down a very narrow, metal, spiral staircase. This was not a problem for us, but this condo would not be a good choice for anyone with mobility issues or challenges with tricky stairs. Also, as others have mentioned, both bedrooms are all open in one way or another, so you hear everything going on. Again, not at all a problem for us at all, but do be aware. Overall, we loved our stay! We met owner Moira once briefly as we were checking in, and she was lovely. Thanks for a great couple of days!

Great location

The house was perfect for our family of 4 with the kids staying up in the loft and my wife and I having our own room in the basement. Walking distance to the beach and the Main Street 👍 our kids loved the spiral staircase!

5 min walk to beach, check in was easy. House was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, good size bathroom, was nice having washer/dryer and grill w propane available to use. We had a great time, would definitely stay again! If you have teenagers I would bring ear plugs, given the open concept noise really travels from loft to bottom floor lol

Laundry Chute

Decent accommodations for our beach weekend stay. Very clean and Moira was easily accessible and a good communicator. Good spot for us between The Ballpark and the beach. Walking to the beach on Union st was easy with a cart. Layout of the house was a little odd but do-able for a family with older kids. Wouldn’t recommend for younger kids or older adults as the bathroom down the spiral staircase wasn’t ideal (but we knew that going into it). Would really benefit from having the option of air conditioning upstairs as it was sweltering hot the first night. But true to Maine weather we were comfy and cool the second night. A couple of updates with the beds and pillows would be good but it wasn’t unbearable. The kitchen was fantastic and perfect size for our needs with a good dining table. The back deck is great for sitting out at night but needs a couple of deck chairs. All in all it’s a good place that is affordable for the area!
