The location & space was great! Management did a fantastic job handling the internet being down. Our only complaint (which is out of owners control), is the construction going on right outside the bedroom windows. It woke us up at 7am (sometimes earlier), not ideal for trying to sleep in.

October getaway

Our family is from Alaska and we were attempting to escape the October rains for the Texas beach. We'd never explored this area of the US either, so we really didn't know what to expect. This was a very cute place! Exactly as described, and great communication with the hosting agent. It was convenient to the beach and town. We didn't really understand what "self-catered property" meant until we arrived, but there are stores nearby for anything you might need. It was very comfortable for our family! We went in October so we knew weather may impact our visit, and we ended up leaving early but not because of the home - it was very windy which made the beach and pool to challenging to enjoy. We also didn't fully appreciate how "off season" our stay would be. We had the complex area and pool to ourselves, and it's such a cute area! Everyone we saw was so friendly! But the off season nature made it a little sleepy - combined with the sandblasting wind we ended up exploring off island quite a bit. You can drive to the island, but the ferry is so much more convenient and fun. We would definitely go back and just plan better now that we know what to expect. Thankfully the home was a very lovely place to spend time hanging out in. No complaints!

Amazing house!

We loved this house. Great location, clean, comfortable. The close-by pool was awesome to have. We also loved the area under the house where we could just leave all of our wet/sandy stuff. We also parked our car and golf cart under the house and that was very convenient. Upper deck was great for sunsets. Definitely recommend.

Great location!

We loved our stay at the Barefoot Bungalow! Exactly as pictured, we had everything we needed for our stay. With the pool just outside and the beach easily walkable, my daughters made it quick work getting in the water. Laundry on site a plus, you’ll go through plenty of towels. Take advantage of a golf cart rental as well, makes all the little short trips that much more entertaining. We’ll be back! 😎

Great Getaway

House was clean and spacious, pool was lovely after a day at the beach, and it was just a short golf cart ride to anywhere on the island.

Loved Barefoot Bungalow

We love Port Aransas. The Barefoot Bungalow was a great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the shared pool on the property.

Really nice house

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The house is great and really good equipped. There was also stuff for our kids to play on the beach. We would stay there again if going to Port A. :)

We enjoyed it!

We really enjoyed our time at the Barefoot Bungalow. One room for the 4 kids and one for us was perfect, the kitchen is well stocked and the laundry room was a life saver. The patio on was nice too and a pretty place to sit at sunset. The kids enjoyed walking to the beach (about 8 minutes) but my favorite part was being able to drive right up to the beach which took only a few minutes from the house.

The only thing missing was a gate at the top of the stairs. We had a 2 year old. All the other properties had one. House was very clean and was decorated adorable! Super convenient to everything.

Family vacation

Our family vacation started out in Port Aransas and we loved our short stay at the barefoot bungalow. Well stocked, clean, and easy to find. The host was awesome and would definitely recommend this property.

Cozy and Cute!

We had a great time at the Barefoot Bungalow! We had plenty of space and were all very comfortable. The bungalow was very clean and has cute, unique touches around the house. It was nice and relaxing sitting and enjoying the breeze in both outdoor seating areas. We would love to come back!

Second time visiting here and still perfect.

Quaint, clean, has all the basic needs. And I love the angle of the deck and sitting area below because it is out of the main wind. It’s conveniently located to the shopping areas and beach. Even has a coffee pot and Keurig. Definitely bring toilet paper. :) We came last year and had a great experience and we were excited to come back.

Great stay in Port Aransas

My wife and I stayed at the Barefoot Bungalow to be near family for the Christmas Holiday. The location was close to the beach, and the house was situated in a charming little cluster of similar vacation homes. The bungalow was impeccably clean and the interior finishes were in like new condition. The interior was also charmingly decorated, with super comfortable beds and touches that made us feel like we were truly on a beach vacation. Check-in and Check-out were super simple. We would definitely stay again at the Barfoot Bungalow.

Great little house!

The bungalow was a perfect setting for our family’s vacation. The property was as advertised and it was a cheerful place to stay. The space was comfortable, the kitchen has everything you may need, and so many windows that provided great natural light. It was just a few minutes to get to the beach which was fantastic, too.
