Wortham House 3BR / 3 & 1 / 2b Gothic Carriage House Set in Garden

Wortham House est une maison de transport de style néogothique datant de 1823 environ (la plus ancienne de ce style à Charleston et aux États-Unis) située au centre d'un pâté de maisons derrière une résidence privée de 1804 au centre-ville de Charleston. Les deux propriétés sont inscrites au registre national des lieux historiques.

Wortham House dispose de trois chambres au deuxième étage, chacune avec lits jumeaux (dont l'un peut être converti en lit king), télévision à écran plat et salle de bain privée complète. La maison peut accueillir 6 adultes. Les frais de location d'une maison sont déterminés par le nombre de chambres louées. On peut choisir une, deux ou trois chambres. Les chambres non louées sont fermées assurant l'exclusion des personnes que vous ne connaissez pas. Le premier étage dispose d'un grand salon meublé avec goût, parfait pour la lecture du matin avec du café et des cocktails l'après-midi. Une salle d'eau est située à côté du salon. Un dîner dans la cuisine pour six est également adjacent au salon lorsque le petit déjeuner est servi jusqu'à 9h. Dans la cuisine il y a un réfrigérateur, un four et un micro-ondes pour chauffer les aliments apportés à la maison. Malheureusement, la cuisine en soi n'est pas autorisée par la ville de Charleston.

Wortham House est entourée de jardins primés publiés dans plusieurs magazines et livres. Il a été récemment reconnu par les Smithsonian Archives of American Gardens et les 25 meilleurs jardins du Garden Conservatory of America aux États-Unis. De l'espace dans le jardin est disponible pour les repas. Un parking hors rue pour 2-3 voitures est incorporé dans le jardin.

Nous n'autorisons pas les animaux domestiques, les enfants de moins de 18 ans ni la cuisine sur place. Bien que votre petit déjeuner soit inclus dans votre tarif. L'ensemble de la propriété est non-fumeurs, y compris l'allée et le jardin. We stayed at the lovely Wortham House for a long weekend and college reunion. Our group consisted of six ladies and we were more than comfortable in the beautiful space. In addition to the well appointed interior, there were beautiful gardens where we enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation. Betsy was the most gracious and helpful host that you could ask for — the epitome of southern hospitality. We would most definitely return in the future.

A step back into time with an "old Charleston" ambiance; a lovely garden that is even more picturesque than the photos; and yet, well-maintained and clean furniture, bathroom, and amenities. This a completely and tastefully renovated "carriage house" feels like a home rather than a rental property.The beds are all single beds not conducive to combining into a king, but this was NOT an issue for our group of senior citizens.Our group spent the afternoons in the lovely garden having "sundowners" and soaking up the elegant and relaxing vibe.I can't imagine a better place to stay while visiting Charleston
