The John Bulow House at 174 A Saint Philip Street Unit 1 is a 3-bed 3-bath gem blending modern comfort with Charlestonâs rich history just one block from King St. Recognized with 5 Carolopolis Awards and the SC Governorâs Award for Historic Restoration, this retreat is perfect for families or groups seeking an authentic Charleston experience.
Bedroom 1 â Queen bed, dressing table, fireplace, antique mirror, large closet, elegant decor. Features a custom-built Murphy bed, allowing additional living space.
Bedroom 2 â King bed, ensuite bath, side table, lamps, writing desk, and colorful art.
Bedroom 3 â Queen bed, reading lamps, writing table, closet, and unique decor.
Living Room â Charming bay window, period fireplace, four upholstered chairs, flat-screen TV.
Kitchen â Fully stocked with modern appliances, combination Keurig pod/pot coffee machine.
Dining Area â Spacious dining table with seating for six, opening to the living room.

This is not a typical short-term rental; it is not a renovated dependency or a newly constructed unit in an old neighborhood, nor is it situated on a tiny lot in a questionable or remote area. The old hardwood floors, tall ceilings, original moldings, plasterwork, windows, and doors exude a special warmth, character, and charm that is very difficult to achieve in new construction. The exterior copper roof and guttering provide additional warmth and character. It`s the real deal!
*If needing early check-in or late check-out please DO NOT ask until the day before check-in at earliest due possible last minute rentals. If you absolutely NEED it, I would suggest renting the night prior*

- Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM â Be respectful of neighbors.
- Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM.
- Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight.
- Any decorations must be secured using painterâs tape only to avoid damage to walls.
- Guests must follow trash disposal instructions provided by the host.
- Please return all items and furniture to their original locations.
