Very disappointed to find there were many unnecessary rules of the Southseas association that we were never told about prior to our trip. So many it seemed like different staff members were even confused. We carried a motor scooter there on my pickup truck and when first arrived at the Southseas gate they had no problem with it and gave me a second vehicle parking permit for it. We took the scooter touring on Sanibel & Ft.Myers the next day and when we returned to the Southseas gate another guard there told us it was not allowed to come through the gate and I would need to park it offsite. Nothing in the paperwork we were given mentions anything about 2-wheeled vehicles not being allowed. Extremely inconvenient! We were also contacted the second evening that our lights were visible to turtles. The curtains in our unit were extremely thin and virtually see-through, so our lights were very viable outside through closed curtains, and also afforded very little privacy for us. We ended up sitting every other evening basically in the dark under threats of a 5,000 fine! The heavy glass sliding shower door was not installed correctly. It had bolts and washers that kept falling out of the top rail when opened and closed. The door also stuck badly when closed properly to seal it from water leaking out onto the floor. My wife got stuck inside and COULD NOT open the shower door with the two finger pull point on the door. When I came back up from the beach she was still in there
