Everything was as expected and clean and labeled. I missed information in the check in website finding wifi and keycode to pool. My only complaint was the beach and bath towels not being able to be picked up or exchanged. We had used all the bath towels the first night and gotten 2 of the beach towels dirty and had to pay and do laundry for towels while on vacation.

Regarding the towels, we provide a starter set intended to last a few days, but I hear you—laundry is the last thing anyone wants to do while on vacation! It was confusing locating the actual building where we were booked. The buildings have numbers on them, but the numbers are obscured by the name "villas" thru the number. Who does that?? Also, the building numbers are not well lit.At the gate, we asked the gatekeeper which way to go to our villa. She was pretty unsure???? Really? She said, i think it's to the left.

I am very sorry for the confusion you experienced upon your arrival; we want your vacation to start the moment you reach the island, not with a navigation puzzle. At Dream Vacation Rentals, we strive for a "no-surprises" experience, and it is clear that the onsite signage and lighting fell short during your check-in. To help bridge the gap, we send out a digital guestbook via email and text prior to arrival that includes the specific property address and turn-by-turn instructions, but we will certainly review those materials to see if we can make the building landmarks even clearer for night-time arrivals. I also want to sincerely apologize for the interaction you had at the front gate. Please note that the gate staff are employees of the resort association rather than our agency, so we have no direct affiliation with their training. However, it is disappointing to hear they couldn't provide clear directions, and we will be sharing your feedback with the association management to ensure they improve their guest assistance. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would love the chance to provide you with a much smoother "welcome" on your next visit!

Great Condo on Captiva!

Perfect location, walking distance to several restaurants. Beautiful view from the lanai. Easy walk to the beach, chairs and umbrella are great. Can’t wait to come back, will definitely stay at this condo again.

The condo was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Sheets, towels, beach chairs, games and you can't beat staying at South Seas and this is a MUCH better value than booking through the resort!!

Our room and the pools were beautiful. What WASNT beautiful was the fact that we were unable to use the other pools or any restaurants or trolley. It was absolutely ridiculous, without a wristband we had access to NOTHING. Dream Vacations stepped up and made it right. It the first few days of our stay were horrible. Shame on VRBO!

Unit was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Pool area is excellent, and great beach is <5 minute walk away. Area is still something of a construction site, given hurricane recovery, but didn't affect our stay. Thanks!

Wonderful Stay at South Seas

We loved our stay at the bayside villas in South Seas Captiva Island. Check in was a breeze, the property was as described and the accommodations were great. Obviously, the island is still very much in recovery mode after hurricane Ian but we knew that going in and adjusted our expectations accordingly.

Therapeutic

The location was amazing from the moment you walk in the doors and see the view out over the mangrove and water. Watching the birds come and go and Osprey building nests was wonderful as was the sunrise coming in those windows. Walk to the beach is short to see sunsets. Watching the pelicans is always entertaining as is shelling and grabbing food at the mucky duck. Thank you so much for making such a lovely clean place available.Hard to leave.

Nice place, good location

Overall very nice. Wish the place had more storage (no dressers, closets). The balcony was beautiful. Close to beach. You could walk, but with a 4 yo, we decided to drive the couple minutes to the beach access. Everything was as expected. The pool was great. We knew the elevator was not working. We also knew about the construction.
