Amy was born in Arizona, and raised in sunny southern California. Amy attended college in Riverside and then embarked on a career in the hospitality industry. Her success in this field would see her rise to be both a general manager and later corporate trainer for well-known restaurant chains.
Seeking further challenges, Amy took advantage of her keen eye for style and gift for decorating by opening a design/gift shop in Tennessee, which was a joint venture with her mother, Faye. The duo saw an opportunity in Mexico to apply Amy's knowledge from her experiences in the hospitality industry, so they opened a restaurant in the town of Ajijic by the shores of Lake Chapala.
Amy is now well settled in the Daytona Beach area, with her nephew Greyson, and her dogs Hank, a Lhasa-poo, and Loretta Lynn, a Yorkie.
