We really do appreciate your effort to write a critical review. However, since it is the only bad review, we have received in 10 years, we must wonder your intent. Because we live next door, it is totally possible to let us know about any items that do not meet expectations so that we are able to correct any perceived problems immediately. We state this upon arrival. This is always recommended you do this no matter where you stay. It’s what you pay for, and we will respond if given a chance. Regardless, we take all reviews seriously (even after- the-fact) and make improvements to maintain a high-level experience. A new tea kettle was on hand and could have immediately been provided if we were informed. Also, a wonderful tea house is at the top of Canyon Road with 10 pages of tea. Therefore, we never provide tea as it needs to be fresh. A new mattress was installed along with a topper foam element to evenly redistribute very heavy weights. A protective cover encases the mattress to ensure cleanliness and protection. Sometimes, people want a firmer mattress, and the foam topper can be easily removed to accommodate them. It’s like a pillow: some like them soft, some hard, and some want more than one. We provide those options, too. A new water heater was installed (the biggest they offer) to prevent any future issues with hot water. Any pans with heat damage were quickly removed and replaced with higher end items that can handle a higher heat from the wolf range stove (it does get hot as this is an industrial version). We removed any items that totally do not meet with a higher end expectation. Again, if we were told about any of these issues, we would have responded immediately to correct any issues. Regrettably, we did not get this chance. However, we have fully responded to maintain higher expectations in the future. We are always open to criticism or concerns and welcome this feedback, too.
