Whits End - Do you have any beach time planned?
Our two bedroom/two and a half bath townhouse is located at 300 Ocean Mile – a beach-side community located on the east end of the island, just adjacent to the St. George Island State Park. The home has a spacious split-level open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen that opens into the living and dining area. This 1400 sq. ft. town-home was recently updated with new kitchen, bathrooms, and lighting throughout. We have something for everyone. Get a great night's rest in the well-appointed main suite on the top level, which features a comfortable king size bed and private master bath with rainfall shower head. Enjoy views of the gulf from your private balcony. We have bunkbeds outside the master suite, so children (this is not an adult bed) can have their own retreat. Each bed has a light and USB port to power devices. Full sized washer and dryer are also on the top level. The middle level houses the guest bedroom and full bathroom. This room features a queen size bed. Enjoy ocean views from the main living area deck. Walk right off the back deck to get to the pool and grill area. The carport fits two cars and extra parking is allowed along the main road.
Most people come to St. George because of the seclusion. The island has a much different feel than neighboring beaches communities. Retirees especially like the quiet feel and our island is good for families that want to avoid the crowds. Getting here is easy (approximately 2-hour drive from Tallahassee, 6 hours from Atlanta or Birmingham), but you'll feel worlds away. There are plenty of things to do on the island – biking trail and bike rentals, kayaking, fishing, boating and shopping. There are plenty of restaurants offering everything from pizza to fresh seafood. If you prefer cooking, the kitchen is spacious and fully equipped and vented. And there is a Piggly Wiggly on the island with a good selection of meats and groceries. Or in just short trip, you can be in Apalachicola, known for their shopping, great dining and festivals. We have HD cable and flat screen TV’s in each living area. Free high speed wifi that works great if you do have to connect.
Guests have access to our entire home, plus all common areas of the community including two pools, BBQ area, boardwalks and beach.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. Sometimes it is best for everyone to have a vacation. Also, please take note that our town-home is a 4-level split plan (including the ground floor entry) with three small staircases (7 stairs) connecting each level. As such, it is not wheelchair accessible.

The property was in a fabulous location close to other family members at the resorts. Beautiful “lived in” home that was welcoming and comfortable without feeling like a manicured resort. Family friendly pool for the keikis, just enough for the little ones to get wet or for the adults to cool off in the evening. Great views of the mountains after being on the beach all day. Wonderful Weekend Trip to St. George Island
This condo is very comfortable and clean. The amenities are modern, and the beds are comfortable. The host met all of our basic needs (dish soap, hand soap in the bathrooms, dishwasher pods, etc.). The property has a board walk to the beach and pool. The host was accommodating and quick to respond to our questions.

Perfect Place to Stay for Out Visit to St. George Island
The property was simply amazing. We were less than 100 steps from the beach, and we could see the beach from our balcony. St. George Island was a perfect location to relax and unwind. The property was exactly what we were looking for and as described on VRBO. If we come back to St. George Island we will stay here again.

FANTASTIC!!
We had a fantastic time despite an early departure due to mandatory evacuations because of Hurricane Helene. The property was fantastic, well supplied. The owner was really great to work with. We’ve stayed at Ocean Mile for the past three years, and this was our favorite property. We’d highly recommend, and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Place looks to be recently renovated and was very nice and clean. Owner was super easy to get in contact with. Beds were very comfortable and they had everything you’d need there. One of the nicer places I’ve stayed!! We did take out golf cart and this place is too far down to get to by cart. Luckily other family members closer to town enjoyed our cart. Just something to consider if you want to get around by golf cart.

Great small family getaway!
First time visiting St. George Island and we will be back!! We loved the lack back vibe of the island. The Whit's End unit is very nicely updated, and we would definitely stay here again. Pool and grill area are a short walk off your back porch and so is the boardwalk to the beach. I think the only question unanswered by their listing was what type of coffee maker is in the kitchen...it's a traditional type coffee pot which the owner was happy to communicate when we reached out ahead of our trip. Book this location, and go enjoy!

Perfect location - great condo
This is an awesome location. We’ve stayed at several condos on the property. It’s perfectly located for quick access to the beach and a relaxed experience on the island. This condo is one of the nicest ones we’ve stayed in. The kitchen is well appointed and everything was felt fresh and newly renovated. The condo was clean and comfortable. Communication with the host was also good.
Two notes - all of this was clear in the listing but worth a call out: 1. The check out time is 9 am. This was clearly communicated but can be easily overlooked. 2. There weren’t any beach chairs or other beach items that we could find. Again, clearly communicated so not an issue. But something to be mindful of as you’re packing.

Great vacation spot
We just checked out of Whit’s End. The whole family had a wonderful time! The condo is clean and very well stocked with essentials. The kitchen is updated, all the beds were comfy. The kids loved the little bunks built in to the wall. It was just a short walk on the boardwalk to the pool or beach. The condo complex was also clean and family friendly. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay again!
