This home has been a great rental home for years, and now has a New Name with a New Owner! We are taking this rental to another level, with the purpose of providing the best Vacation Experience a Family can have on Beautiful St. George Island!

This Home is situated in the desirable Gulf Beaches of St. George island, which means you can use your 15% Golf Cart Rental (included with this home), and drive a golf cart all week long to your favorite restaurants, ice cream shops, and even to the Beach and SGI Lighthouse! This Rental also included 15% off Beach Chair Rentals, Bicycle Rentals, Kayak Rentals, Stand up paddleboard rentals all delivered with free pickup and delivery to your door!

Bicycle path runs the full length of the Island and is literally steps from this Property along Gulf Beach Drive. Take the Bike path down to the shops or to the beach.

Nearby attractions: This home is only a short ride, drive, or walk from the 6th East Pine avenue Bayside Nature Reserve, where you can walk the private paths to the beach and encounter hundred's of Fiddler Crabs moving together, Estuary Birds and Cranes, and even get into some great Bayside Fishing behind the East Sandbars!

SGI State Park is also located on this homes side and is only a 4 minute car ride to the gate! This is the longest beachfront state park in the state of Florida, with many Private pull offs to the Beach and Private Boardwalks to the Bayside of SGI. Campground Nature trail to the tip of rattlesnake Cove sandbar is a great trip for the Explorer. Also, my personal favorite is the East end access to through the State Park!!. This is hands down 1 of the Top 2 spots to Fish on SGI. Just ask for the East end gate code at the guard shack, fill out the paper work, and drive to the Most Secluded location on SGI where there is the most untouched Beach on the Island and Deep Water to fish right from the Beach! There are also locations where the water is shallow and Great for the Kids to play. Sea Shells Galore!

Discounts are given at Jolly Roger Beach Shop of St. George Island for all merchandise inside, and all rentals outside. **Fishing Charters are not discounted**

Overall good visit

Nice house, easy beach access. Only gripe is that there was a plumbing problem that resulted in not being able to use a shower and one of the stove burners was slow to heat up. Pool is great. Beds are good. Parking is excellent.

Thank you for staying with us and thankyou for the review! We sent a contracotr by to inspect the possible plumbing issue and it was only condensation from the hvac vent. So there was nothing wrong with the bathroom at all, just a really sweaty vent from driving the hvac low with high humidity in house that week. We are glad you overall enjoyed your stay! Family of 11 Week Vacation

Our family of 11 enjoyed a wonderful week on SGI. The house is wonderful. We did have two sets of parents in their 60s and 70s who had a hard time with the stairs and getting up out of the very soft/comfy couch in the main living area. You kind of just sink into it, our teens loved it but it was harder for older people with bad backs/knees to get good footing so they all just sat in the hard dining chairs all week. Overall it was a great experience. My husband and I would have loved some more storage space in the upstairs king bedroom. There are only two small drawers on the night stands and no other storage except for a closet with 4 clothing hangers. We ended up just laying our clothes on the shelf in the closet. Just a minor thing that would make the stay more comfortable. The pool is wonderful and the walk to the beach is very close and convenient. We loved this vacation!

No communication with the host at all. A passcode for the house was never given. If one of the doors hadn’t been unlock we would’ve never gotten in. No check-in or check-out details were given. Anytime we left we had to leave the house unlocked so we could get back in. Weeds growing on the pool deck and the pool deck was messy. The pool was nasty with debris in it. Bunkbeds need to be cleaned around the mattresses. Cigarette butt was found on the screen in porch. Dinning table and chairs were filthy. Light bulb in master bathroom was out. Mater bedroom closet door was broke. Blenders in the kitchen don’t work. The refrigerator drawers are broke. One of the stools at the bar is broken. Screws on the porch deck are raised up. This is a very good location but the upkeep is poor.

Traveler requested to cancel her stay on May 29th due to a situation that arose on their side. We replied and stated that we have a non-refundable policy to insure we don't lost revenue, but we could open the dates in attempt to rebook. Traveler replied that she wanted to proceed to try open the dates, to rebook and get out of her reservation obligation. The very next day she told me she changed her mind and decided to not cancel, and to keep the reservation. Alot of confusing communication. The check-in information is supposed to be sent out automatically through the access my rental portion of the vrbo application. We did not receive any phone call or text message to the office phone, which is clearly displayed on the signs in front of the house. We also just received a 5-star review from another recent traveler, who didn't mention any of the items. Pool is also scheduled to be cleaned weekly by a professional pool service company. We will bring attention to any of the items, and everything mentioned and check out any issues with receiving access codes. We have not had a similar issue with any other traveler not receiving codes, so we apologize for any issues encountered.

Kitchen appliances need some updating. Broken drawers noted in refrigerator. Oven door does not close tightly, therefore anything being cooked in the oven takes forever. I was very disappointed with the communication from the owners/VRBO. We made several requests during the week before our arrival for the code to the door that were ignored—no reply at all until the afternoon of check in and we had to call again to get it then. Also we were never given any check out instructions other than the time. Never were we told the days of garbage pick up, what was expected of us before check out—linens off the beds? Dishwasher ok with clean dishes inside or to be put away? Empty all garbage cans? Most of these things we knew from previous rentals, but I was surprised there were no guidelines given to us. Housekeeping was questionable. We noted children’s clothing left on the floor beside the washing machine, and a pile of dirt in the floor to the right of the dryer. Both were in hard to reach places, but a professional cleaner should have taken care of those.On the plus side, we found the kitchen well equipped with dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans for cooking and serving meals for a crowd. Beds comfortable. Pool nice. Enjoyed the swing on the bottom level. All in all a nice stay—just disappointed with the communication.

With all reservations taken through VRBO, all of the information should be provided in the VRBO welcome package and the VRBO app. Also, upon checking the phone communication the day of check-in, we gave you the access code at 1:44 p.m. far ahead of the 4:00 p.m. check-in time. You were given early access to the property and full gate codes hours ahead of typical check-in time without any extra charge at all. So we don't see an issue with getting check-in information. We cannot provide that information weeks before arrival when you requested it. We did not receive a single call or text message regarding any issues, questions, or concerns after communicating smoothly on check in day. We can't help you if you don't tell us! We are glad you found the house smooth sailing and there were no issues to report or contact us about at this Great Home. If this is your first time Booking through VRBO, please look into the VRBO app and welcome package and access my rental portion of the application in the future. It may answer many common questions renters have about their rental and upcoming stay. Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon!
