Mahi Bay 112 1st Floor Unit Boat Dock Boat Slip Okaloosa Island Newly Renovated

Stay away from the crowds of Destin just across the bridge on Okaloosa Island. Mahi Bay is our first floor unit on Bay directly across from the Gulf John Beasley Park Beach & 0.5 from Okaloosa Island Boardwalk. Launch your paddle board or kayak here at Hermitage by the Bay, a small, quiet friendly complex very centrally located. Our small bay beach area is shallow & perfect for little kids. There are often dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, seahorses & other marine life to see right from our dock. Pool is off balcony. A 24’ boat dock with lift is available for use upon request & permission. Close to everything! There are several restaurants & shops within a one mile walking distance. The Destin - Emerald Coast Convention Center is just down the street 0.5 miles. If Mahi Bay doesn’t work for you or you need an additional unit for your group, please check out our other property, Blue Heron Bay unit 205 in the same complex.

This two bedroom two bathroom unit has been newly renovated in 2026 with all brand new flooring, kitchen, furniture & mattresses. It includes one king bed in the master, one full pull out sofa with a memory foam gel mattress in the living room and a twin over twin bunk bed & a stand alone full bed in the second bedroom. Each bedroom has its’ own attached en suite bathroom. A front loading washer & dryer can be found in the closet on the balcony. Books & games for both adults & children are provided as well as beach gear, cooler & fishing poles. Fishing from our dock is plentiful & includes redfish, bluefish, pufferfish, trout, flounder & more. The kitchen is fully stocked including an air fryer, coffee pot with k-cup option, shrimp pot & crab crackers, blender & more. A small welcome cinch sac or canvas tote with an aloe gel packets is waiting for you upon arrival :)

Our bay beach area is calm & shallow which is perfect for small children to enjoy without all the crowds on the gulf beaches.

24’ Boat slip available to renters upon request & permission for an additional $100 per stay payable separately through VRBO within 14 days before check in. Rental boats & jet skis are not allowed. Please message us for details. Trailer parking is available but is first come first serve so cannot guaranteed. Our HOA requires that guests bringing boats provide them with boat and/or trailer registration & insurance information prior to check in.

Going to Crab Island? ~10 mins by boat. Some local boat excursions will pick you up straight from our dock. SeaBlaster, Gulf Island Rentals Jet Skis (pontoons coming 2027) & Cattywampus Eco Adventures are located next door at the new Sunset Isle Marina. You are able to watch the fireworks from the Okaloosa Boardwalk from our lot. We have created a detailed information guide on the area that will be sent to you after booking to help plan your trip.
