The property was in a great location, not a far drive from lot of things to do in WNY. Host was phenomenal! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Our stay at this location was perfect! The house was exactly as advertised on the inside, with plenty or room and all the necessary appliances. Would stay her again. The host was easy to communicate with and we had no issues. Fantastic host and home!

It was a interesting place. Unfortunately, there was a rather nasty odor the whole time. Kind of weird having a portable A/C unit in the dining room. Need some coat hangers & something to put suitcases on & the windows need blinds. Need water hooked up to fridge for ice cubes. Comfy couch in living room.

Excellent stay

Very comfortable, quiet, and clean place with all the amenities one might need. Bed was very comfortable; kitchen was well stocked; bathroom had plenty of hot water; utility room with washer and dryer; TV and living room were also comfortable. Very convenient spot as well. Quick trip to downtown Buffalo and also to conference we were attending in Orchard Park. Host was very responsive!

Great spot for visiting family

House was exactly as described and property manager was responsive when I had questions! They even had a bedside bassinet for my youngest would definitely stay here again highly recommend :)The driveway is narrow but we rented a suburban and had no troubles even in the snow navigating to park in back.I’d recommend more towel hooks in bathroom and Tim hortons k cups instead (I wasn’t a fan of the provided coffee).

Perfect home away from home.

Absolutely loved Poppy house, it was clean, spacious, nice vibe and location. Great communication and fantastic personalized detail of stay. Emilee the host truly knows how to make you feel like you're home away from home. Beautiful accomodations, enjoyed a cup of coffee every morning with a wide variety of complementary Keurig coffee. Loved off street parking in a lit driveway. We'll definitely be looking to stay again next time we visit Buffalo!

Cute Quaint Place!

My husband and I were staying for a wedding, we spent 6 nights here and we liked the place. The bed was large and comfortable and we had pretty much everything we needed. Everything was clean and the property manager was very responsive and helped us fix the issue we were having with the AC. The area around was more industrial but in this area it takes like under 20 minutes to get anywhere you were trying to go in Buffalo so we thought the place was pretty central for us.

Just what we were looking for !

We come to Buffalo at least once a year to go to a Bills game ( Go Bills !!!) this was perfect for us ! Very clean ! Bed is super comfy as was the couch! Communication with the owner was on-point ! We definitely would recommend - location was great as well - and yes the driveway is narrow but we drove and F-150 and managed to get in and out without any issues ! Really nice place !!!

Simple and Convenient

Nice, cozy and clean. What more do you need for a short- term visit? Location made most things in WNY accessible in a short time. TV and internet were excellent for those days the rain hit. The shower was hot with plenty of runtime. Couple more towels wouldn't have hurt. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only thing you must be careful of is the narrow driveway. I have a GMC Sierra 1500 and folded in the mirrors just to be safe. But once in the backyard, you have plenty of space to turn around. I'd recommend this unit to anyone looking to hang out and visit in the Buffalo area.

Newly Renovated / Great Location

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Depew HS class of 91' - ah! I brought my family back for my nieces HS graduation (West Seneca East) and for time with family and friends. Familiar with the area, the house is located in good area within walking distance to gym, park and Tim's for perfect start to the day. Nicely renovated with host that is very responsive and friendly to communicate with. It's also located for easy drive to downtown/waterfront as well as mall and restaurants. Listing has AC, but it's not central air, it's space AC which takes a bit to cool the house (temps were in 80's during stay) - communication with host was very good, just level set expectations during stay. We would stay again.

Pros and cons nice owner

Cons: Strong odor throughout the house. There were scent bags placed in every room but unfortunately that didn't mask the smell. My other big concern was the lack of plowing/shoveling during a feb trip. The driveway is very narrow and was not plowed/nor was the walkway. Both myself and guest had falls from the black ice but owner was very responsive when I reached out for salt. Building is also a split house (top/bottom) and we heard upstairs tenants often. Also very close to busy road so lots of road/plow noise especially in mornings.Pro: it was clean, easy to find, owner communication was good, and tv/wifi was simple to use. Plus owner accommodated a later checkout which was very nice.I'd say it was a good spot for a quick overnight stop, but I wouldn't book for a weekend get-a-way in the future.

Enjoyed my stay? Yes & No

I will say the place was neat and clean everything in its place. However if there was 10 ft between our place and the one next door that was a lot. Being so close you would think there was better privacy. Two of the windows, kitchen and a small desk area had nothing on the windows, not even a cheap shade. Did not like that at all. The property was on a main road and in the front windows there were sheers as well in the dining room across from the bedroom. Were were 3 people and in the bathroom there was 2 wash cloths, one face towel and 4 bath towels. Since I was not aware we were going to be short cloths I call the property manager and she told me thats why they provide a washing machine. Nothing says fun vacation like a load of laundry. however if all three of us were going to shower in one day that would mean one of us would have to wash themselves with their hand. Not to mention were were on a main road with occasional fire trucks, police whipping by at any time of day. If I new I was on a main road I would not have booked there. So our time in Buffalo was good but I think we will stay at a hotel next time. At least if I need a towel or wash cloth we will get one.

Pros/cons of our stay in Depew NY VRBO

Old house with updated interior. On busy street in Depew NY. Unlighted rear parking space. No towel rack in bath to hang up wet towels to dry. Thermostat was impossible to to figure out and no instructions provided so temp was frequently too warm. Had to call owner to adjust it. Appreciated the portable AC unit on warmer days. Good kitchen (needed a baking sheet though), and inside laundry. Keurig coffeemaker and K-cups were a plus. Very narrow driveway to enter to get to parking area. With a Toyota 4Runner rental, it was very challenging to get through very narrow driveway to park without scraping it on the two houses on either side of driveway.. Reflective markers at driveway turn-in from busy street would’ve been much safer and make it easier to find the correct driveway to turn into to esp. in the dark. Walkway to entry door is uneven and a potential tripping hazard, esp in the dark. Would’ve appreciated more toilet paper and another roll of paper towels. An info sheet or binder of area activities/attractions to see, shopping in area, good restaurants with ph/address would be very helpful as we were new to area and seniors. No light in dark bedroom hanging closet. Decent king size bed. Owner was responsive when I asked for bedside lamp and a small table to put our suitcases on . Early morning traffic noise during the workweek. Bring earplugs if a light sleeper. We stayed for two weeks. entry
